Found an amazing lithograph here before of a museum exhibit in Zurich from 1914. This was a bunch of stars for me, so they get earned a 5. No fuzzy math here. Limited English by the husband and wife owners, but if you find what you like, haggle with a piece of paper and pencil. Numbers speak to shop owners pretty clearly with no extra language skills needed.

P & B Press and Books does a great job in having best sellers book wall, popular reading materials, few classics etc. In addition, they have a significant amount of magazines/ newspapers etc. They have some other small things for entertainment, cards and souvenirs as well if you need last minute things. I hate boarding with a ton of things in hand so this was a good opportunity to buy some reading material in the last part of my connecting flight. The prices were norm for an airport store. I really didn't know of any P&B stores from before so this was a refreshing experience specially as the only bookstore we have in the states is Barnes and Nobles. Being in an airport might be a challenging business but we noticed that it was pretty busy as travelers were browsing through books as they waited for their flights. 5 stars just for being a bookstore. Hopefully they continue to prosper in an increasingly digital world.

It's just a regular book store, but something about Orell Fussli is special. Maybe because the books are in German, and it's multiple stories and fun to ride the elevator. Maybe it's because there are nice couches around to sit and read the books, or maybe because there's a Starbucks too so you can have a coffee while you're enjoying your book. I don't know, but I love it. When things were a bit rough a month ago I'd just come here, and everything bad would go away. Orell Fussli is the perfect medicine. :) It's also right in the middle of Zurich. If you're wanting an English book store there's another Orell Fussli English down the street. But I'm so over English books, those were so yesterday. just kidding I've bought a few things from here. The Lion King DVD in German, a German cook book, a calendar, and a few cards. Between English and my very poor French and Swiss German, she and I were able to communicate just fine.
