Specialties
The Hobson Institute is committed to empowering our community to live life with confidence. Our highly trained physical therapists use their hands-on skills and training knowledge to restore proper posture, correct breathing and swallowing pattern, and ideal joint and muscle function. Unique to the industry - our therapists spend at least 40 minutes of one-on-one care in every session. We view each patient as an individual with unique needs, concerns and resources, and strive to acknowledge, understand and respond to those specific needs. Our distinctive holistic approach sees the body as a whole, and keeps this in mind when evaluating and treating patients.
History
Established in 2005.
Our practice was founded in 2005 by Dr. Jennifer Flage Hobson who is a head and neck TMJ physical therapist. She has evolved her practice over time and introduced Dry Needling as a technique in IL in 2009. Dr. Hobson's clinic is one of the first and oldest in Chicago to perform the technique. Along with Dry needling, the Hobson Institute now offers vestibular therapy, myofunctional (mouth and tongue training) therapy, breathing retraining, and speech and language therapy.
