I (Carolyn Grundy) purchased a Singer sewing machine on Friday 9/12/25 @HobbyLobby 3132 E 51st St. when I attempted to sew, the needle broke, after breaking about 5 brand new needles I attempted to investigate by removing the needle plate. I was only able to remove one screw it was as if the other screw was glued or soldered down. I packed the sewing machine back into its original box. On Monday 9/15/25 I took it back to @hobbylobby and the manager Gary happened to be standing at the entrance who kindly advised @hobbylobby does not accept returns on sewing machines. He stated @hobbylobby has signage posted indicating NO Returns, of course I never saw any such posting. Gary stated I would have to return it to the manufacturer @singer. I then called @singer only to be told that is incorrect as @singer only accept returns if purchased online. I then called @hobbylobby corporate office & asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. Dallas answered my call, I asked her if she was either her response was YES. I proceeded to tell her my concerns. She stated @hobbylobby policy is that returns has to be sent back to the manufacturer @singer as that is in the contract between @hobbylobby and @singer. Dallas @hobbylobby called me again on Tuesday 9/16/25 at which time she asked for my email address to send me the website for the warranty division @singer. They wanted me to repack the machine and send it to the nearest warranty center, which by the way is located in Overland Park Kansas. It is not my responsibility to send it out. Remember it is brand new. It needs to be returned to @hobbylobby. Both companies state returns go to the other. On last evening I sent an email to @hobbylobby, @singer, along with two of Tulsa's local news stations. @singer responded to me with one question "how may I assist you"? I responded I simply wanted to return the machine for a refund. @singer then quoted their policy which is products has to be returned to the place of purchase. I called corporate @hobbylobby again, spoke with Dallas again at which time I asked to speak with her manager. Melissa @hobbylobby got on the phone. After I gave her some background, her response was to tell me what their policy is, but now she says they would accept it had it not been opened. I'm just trying to understand how would I know it was a defective product without opening. I told her with her being a manager @hobbylobby all she had to do is call the manager @hobbylobby in Tulsa and tell him/her they were making an exception to allow me to return it . She then stated that is not possible. Hobby Lobby is a $72 billion industry. I'm simply asking for a refund of less than $500 for a defective product they bought from the manufacturer and sold to me. Their return policy prohibits me from returning it back to them because I opened the box. Hobby Lobby says they are committed to the Lord in ALL they do by operating the company in a manner consistent with Biblical principles. read more

Great selection but poor service when it comes to checking out. 10 registers with 1 person at returns and 1 person checking out people and 10 people standing in line. This is on Sunday at 5pm. Where is management? They could care less about the customers. It is the bottom line they are watching. Never was able to wait so I left and went to Michaels Arts & Craft store. I like coming to hobby lobby because I always leave with some good stuff. I feel like this location is very consistent about staying tidy, which in a store that has so many little niknacs and tons of categories is quite a feat in my eyes. I only wish that they had directions/ more signs posted for the directionally challenged people like me... I always get lost and turned around in here, there are just SO many aisles! Luckily, they are not only well stocked with crafting supplies and decorations, but well stocked with staff as well. It's always easy to find a worker and ask them to help you find something. And they are (almost) always happy to help. To me, this is the spot to come if you have any sort of craft in mind, big or small. They pretty much have anything you could need for a project! From the moment I walked in I was stereotyped for my sweatpants and appearance (coming from the gym) and was followed around my entire time there. I couldn't even browse without feeling like I was Taking too Long. Frankly it's total BS and I won't be coming back!! I didn't realize you have to be OVER 40 or wear your Sunday best to be treated with any decency! read more

Hobby Lobby is a nice store for hobbyists. Most items in the store are in a rotation for a 50% price reduction each week, but I find the prices to already be fair at full price. I can't speak for every item in Hobby Lobby because I only buy felt and clay, but the price tags on other items seem to be good. Everything I have bought there has also been very high quality. When I buy felt and clay, I never feel like I am being scammed. I also have a desk I bought from Hobby Lobby a few years back for a couple hundred dollars, and it has held up remarkably well. The employees have always been kind and helpful when I need assistance finding something, and I've always felt respected as a customer. When I could not find a certain size of poster frame that wound up being right in front of me, the person who helped me was not rude in any way and seemed to understand that I simply did not see it. That person could have acted annoyed that I was asking for help finding something right in front of me, but she was kind and made me feel respected. The people there have also helped me search for the next best thing when something is out of stock or not sold there. I have enjoyed shopping at Hobby Lobby for many years and intend to enjoy shopping there for many more. Overall, as a hobbyist I find Hobby Lobby to be a very pleasant store. read more

If you are trying to decide between the three Hobby Lobby's in the Tulsa area, this one is the best (I think) by far! They always have everything I need. I live in this store so they all know me whenever I walk in--which is rare for such a big department store because a lot of people are in and out. Which shows me they actually care about their jobs. Always super helpful and they are all very knowledgable. Definitely would have to suggest this one over the others. read more

I loathe craft stores. There, I put out into the universe. So when I have to come here, I better have a dang good reason to. For example, it's the Christmas season and I'm out of wrapping paper, bows, gift boxes, and have waited until two weeks before Christmas day to resupply. Off to Hobby Lobby because there is always a half off sale going on. 1) I think every ticked off middle aged woman in Tulsa was at this Hobby Lobby the morning I entered its doors. I literally had my hand on a cart when a lady just waltzed up and grabbed it out of my grip. What? Who does that?! Why this cart and not the ten other empty carts right behind me? Perhaps because I'm short she didn't see my wee self. Let's go with that. 2) DO NOT USE THE BATHROOM HERE!!!! All CAPS because it is that important. The bathroom is disgusting. The stench of urine alone should make you turn around and run away. I am not kidding. I sucked it up because I was hydrating like mad because I had a marathon to run the next day and could not hold it any longer. It was one of those instances when you really use your quads to squat. And wish you were a man. Oh the male species, so well equipped to deal with nasty bathrooms. 3) The cashier that rang my items up was friendly. She is the reason I give the store two stars. She was personable and kind to not just me but the woman in front of me as well who insisted upon paying in change. And then going over the receipt with the cashier after she was done paying because YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. So bless that cashier's heart for having the patience of a saint. I wanted to hug her. It was either Hobby Lobby or Target for wrapping paper and really, who wants to go to Target on a Saturday two weeks before Christmas? Answer: only the insane. So I think I chose the better of the two. I'll just make sure to use the bathroom before ever stepping foot in here again. read more

I used to love Hobby Lobby for years...... but now I just cannot support a business that will not provide basic health care insurance for their employees, including birth control. We're talking about Hobby Lobby denying their employees basic family planning that prevents unwanted pregnancies and helps people build their families in a way that they can realistically and lovingly support. Seems like she might really hate her job or something all I asked her was to wrap a glass picture frame because I was traveling out of state with it as a gift for some one and you would have thought I asked her to do something that wasn't part of her job description. I was in the store on Tuesday, 6/7/16, and I use a walker, the basket that they have is to big for my walker, I knew I was not getting a lot of things and the items I was getting were small items and they kept falling off my walker seat, so I had put them in my personal bag that I had hanging from my walker, I had told the assistant manager, what I was doing and then she started following me around the store as if I was going to steal something from them, I am an honest person, I had every intention on paying for my stuff. after I had checked out, The store manager and the assistant manager were at the door, and they had asked if they could, look to see if I stole anything from them, I did not have a problem with that, I have worked in several retail stores, I understand checking bags, but he went through my other bag that I had bought from Walmart, I still did not have a problem with that, I told him I was an honest person and I proved it by paying for everything I had put in the bag. The problem was when the manager said to me that he "I do not care about you". That is where I had my problem with him if he is that uncaring, about customers, that come to his store, does that mean he even cares less about his employees that work for him? Maybe Hobby Lobby should consider his management skills. I will not be coming back to that store till they get rid of that manager. read more
