This hotel is quite expensive for what you are getting, but from what I could see, it looked like one of the nicer looking ones in the area. While the room looked okay, there were a few things that should have been taken care of: The door would not close on its own so you needed to really push it open or pull it shut hard; there was very little lighting in the room, it always appeared very day; one of the two lamps did not have a bulb in it; the bathroom was also very dark; the bathroom could have used a couple more hooks to hang towels.

More dirt

I would stay far away from ho-chunk hotel-casino if your looking for a clean place to stay. As you can see by the photos the cleaning part is lacking any emphasis . When i told them about the issues. The first response wasn't to clean and correct it. It was to offer me a free room. The next day the hot tub was worse and had ants crawling about and food crumbs left from the night before. Yes it got worse. It's like the twilight zone of hotels.

Gross carpet. Looks like it is laid on top of something under the floor.

Room awful! Management did not care! Paid for an upgrade for the rain shower head. Wish we would not have! Was just a shower head in the the middle of a shower stall. The room was filthy as you can see by the pictures below. When we got there and laid on the bed, we could smell head sweat on the pillows! We bought linen spray at the outlet mall! Mattress the cheapest you could get. 3 flat pillows for a king bed(with no extras in the room to be had). Needs updates as you can see in the pictures. Which by the way we did share with management and they only gave us $15 off per night begrudgingly only after we spoke with the head of housekeeping. Never again. We will stay somewhere else and come enjoy the casino. The casino was wonderful.

Holes in chair.

We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

The rooms all have different names & themes which are lovingly and impressively done. It's a great place for a family gathering as there's loads of outdoor space: 1) large Fire pit in back, 2) Gazebo with lawn games, 3) picnic tables. Then, in front are the BBQ grills and several different-styled patio tables, as well as, 2 colorful nostalgic metal chairs directly outside each room. Lovely landscaping & flowers everywhere. Don't miss the bubbling brook just alongside the South side of the lounge and a peaceful spot to read. We visited Devils Lake Park, a diner in Baraboo, and an escape room in the Dells area. It's nearby lots of attractions. Oh yeah, the family that owns the joint are really nice

Dave and Trudy are such warm and helpful hosts, making you feel so cared for and pampered. The Inn is so beautiful and immaculately clean with a view you never get tired of. We stayed in the Birds Nest room which was just perfect for us. Amazing view, comfortable bed, tub with spa jets, separate toilet room and two sinks - just perfect! Trudy is an amazing chef and Dave is the friendliest server at breakfast, serving up fresh baked goods, yogurt/granola, juice/coffee/artesian water, fresh fruit of many varieties, and the most delicious and lovely presentation for main courses. We were so impressed with every breakfast. At 5:30 pm every evening, Dave hosts "happy hour" in the Indigo Lounge, where you can sit at the bar, take in the view and enjoy some fine wine and a really delicious charcuterie plate put together by Trudy. Dave is great to talk to and has so many recommendations for the area. We took most of his recommendations for what to eat and drink at restaurants and were not disappointed! The grounds are beautifully manicured with so many trails and an outdoor spa (which we enjoyed a couple times while again taking in the view) and there is a sauna and exercise area inside too. We would love to come back and enjoy Dave and Trudy's amazing hospitality.

I wish I could have stayed here when I went to the Dells on my mini vacation only a few short weeks ago but this time I'm here on business. Checking in was easy there's plenty of parking here as well and the hotel features plenty of great amenities like a decent size pool, hot tub and newer workout equipment in the fitness gym. There's even a little business center though I didn't have time to visit it. They got a bar but it's very limited and I recommend not checking it out unless you don't want to drive anywhere or walk across the street. The rooms were in good condition though some parts are in need of remodeling. The ceiling fan in the bathroom was very loud and I felt like it was going to catch fire just because of the noise was making. The staff at the front desk wouldn't tell me how much incidentals were which kind of confused me. Breakfast was okay for the most part but again it had much better amenities compared to the last Best Western I was at in the Dells only 20 minutes north of here. There's plenty of things to do in walking distance as well such as walking to the bar or even walking to the nearby gas station if you're short on amenities that the gas station probably doesn't have or if you want a cheaper drink then what the bar would ask you for. Truly is a 3.5 star place. Very budget friendly would recommend

With the limited lodging options in Baraboo (and the Devil's Head area in general without heading…read moreinto the Dells), it's a decent choice, but a bit expensive for what you get. Rooms are well-sized and beds are pretty comfy, but the bathrooms are miniscule. Seriously, claustrophobia while showering. The A/C works well, as does the TV, so no complaints there. Everything appeared clean, though the hotel has seen better days. It does have one of the most roundabout ways to access rooms that I've ever seen in a hotel, though. To get from the lobby to the hotel rooms, you basically have to walk around the entire perimeter of the hotel. Annoying and odd. Free wi-fi works well. Complimentary breakfast is nice, but the selections are quite limited. At this price point in Baraboo ($130/night), you have this Clarion and the Best Western across the street. The Best Western appears better maintained and a bit newer, though I have not seen the rooms. While I understand rooms are supply and demand (and I was staying here during Tough Mudder, which overwhelmed this poor small town), I think the price point is set a bit high for this hotel.

The pool is located on the fourth floor but could use some major touch ups. There isn't much for an exercise room. Maybe three things? I am not sure if they are in the middle of remodeling or what, but it was dirty. The floor in the room wasn't sweep and the mirror had tons of finger prints on it. This hotel has potential but does not have it right now. They also had an alright breakfast. But that is maybe the only thing going for them. If you are in the area, I would check into the hotel across the street.
