Absolutely adore this co-op and recently became a member! You get 10% off once a month if you join…read more The food quality and variety is unmatched, especially considering it's not a huge store--they have ~400 items in their bulk section if you count spices and teas! I'm always discovering new products I've never seen anywhere else. Bulk chocolate-covered blueberries. Locally baked breads. Decaf canned cold brew. And unsurprisingly there are great options for vegetarians, vegans, people with allergies or gluten sensitivity. And so many local products (sometimes apples fresh off of the farm truck!) The staff are helpful too, they even have a manager for the wellness section who can answer questions about vitamins, supplements, etc.

Folks say the TPSS coop is expensive and that can be true. But: I love it for its bargains…read more First, the bulk section. So many everyday and unusual products at a fraction of the price you would pay for the same thing in little bottles, boxes or jars. My favorites are oatmeal and spices. Second, the wine section often has good prices on decent wines. Not easy to find these days. Some of them are organic. And finally, there are some freshly prepared foods that make the co-op a destination store for me. Sushi. And those spicy samosas that are kept in the warmer near the soups. Especially the cabbage one! Apparently they are made by Zemen, the Ethiopian grocery on Maple, so you could also look for them there. That is the co-op the way I experience it. But it is waiting for you to discover your own - the possibilities are endless

DO NOT USE APPLE PAY HERE!!!!!!!…read more There is no sign posted saying that Apple Pay is currently not working, so I had no reason to know there was an issue. I placed my order, they rang everything up, and the payment was declined on their end. However, the charge still reduced my Apple Cash balance and shows as "pending" on my end. The employees told me the pending transaction supposedly will not authorize, but apparently this has happened before. If they already know there is an issue with Apple Pay, why is there no sign at the register saying, "We are currently unable to accept Apple Pay"? Had there been a sign, I obviously would not have used it and this entire situation could have been avoided. Now my money is tied up in a pending transaction, I have a screenshot showing the charge and the reduced balance, and I couldn't leave with the items I had already attempted to purchase. I asked the employees for help and asked to speak with a manager. I was told the manager wasn't there. I asked if they could call the manager, and they told me they didn't have a manager's number and refused to call anyone. The only solution they offered was for me to come back tomorrow and talk to the manager. So, essentially, their payment system has an issue, they apparently know about it, they didn't warn customers about it, and now I'm expected to rearrange my plans and come back tomorrow to deal with the consequences. The employees also seemed completely lost about what to do. The only response I kept getting was, "I apologize for that." I appreciate an apology, but an apology doesn't resolve the fact that my balance has been reduced and I don't have the merchandise I attempted to purchase. I ultimately had to buy the item using a credit card instead, while now having to wait and see whether the Apple Pay transaction actually processes or eventually gets reversed. If it does process despite the store not completing the purchase, I'll have to contact the card issuer to dispute the charge. The frustrating part is that this could have been prevented by something incredibly simple: PUT UP A SIGN. If Apple Pay isn't working, tell customers before they use it. Don't let the transaction fail on your end, leave the customer's money in pending status, and then tell the customer to come back tomorrow because you don't know what else to do. One star because the actual problem wasn't just that Apple Pay didn't work. Technical issues happen. The problem was the lack of communication, the lack of a warning, and the complete lack of any useful assistance once the problem occurred.

The Girl and The Vine - A casual waiting area for takeout where you can shop for wine and enjoy a cocktail.

Love the texture of the toasted bread, the dates, and the flavorful cheeses. You can order a flight of wine, but since I don't enjoy wine I ordered some apple juice and no one batted an eye. Definitely recommend ordering the chicken schnitzel sandwich, that thing is dangerously good

For a wine bar, I expected a slightly more elevated experience…read more I like that there was outdoor seating (It was a beautiful day when we visited), however there was no one to tell us whether to seat ourselves or wait to be seated. I was waiting for my friend to arrive and countless times the staff walked past me without a word or a glance: no greeting, no invitation to see myself, not even asking if I needed help...nothing. Just incredibly unwelcoming. If I hadn't made such a significant time investment trying to secure a parking space, I would have left immediately. After my friend arrived, we flagged down one of the servers who told us that we could seat ourselves outside. We did so and ordered a round of cocktails: an Aperol Spritz for me and Air Mail for my friend, along with a charcuterie board. The seating outside was picnic benches with chipped paint. Our charcuterie board arrived long before our drinks did. We were half done with the board by the time the drinks arrived. The charcuterie board was delivered with no plates and only one napkin for two people. Additionally, because there were no plates, a significant amount of our charcuterie board ended up on the picnic table. The board had lots of items on it and it was very difficult to remove an item or slice some cheese without something else sliding off. The cocktails were decent. Not the best we've had, but also not the worst. They were inconsistent though. The first two I had were much better than the last one, which tasted distinctly different. When we decided to get food, I ordered the chicken schnitzel sandwich while my friend got the Cubano sandwich. In most places, when you order a sandwich, fries are included. Not here. But at least my sandwich was served on an aluminum tray. My friend received her sandwich wrapped in paper. No plate; Just wrapped up like it was to-go. Since no fries were included with her sandwich she ordered a side of the chili cheese fries instead. She ate a few of them but I could tell by her face (and the fact that the bowl remained largely untouched after those few initial fries) that they were not good. My sandwich was okay. Just ok. It arrived warm, not hot, so I'm not sure if it was freshly made. Flavor-wise it was a little bland. I think it probably would have been better served just as schnitzel and not as a sandwich. For dessert, I ordered one of their oversized chocolate chip cookies. Again, it was just not good. Chocolate chip cookies are fairly hard to mess up but this one was just... Bad. It had more of a cake-like consistency... And not even very good cake. I took one bite and that was one too many. Between the difficulty finding parking, the general aloofness of the staff, and the terrible food... I'd recommend passing on this place.
