The massage was 90 whole minutes of relaxation. No need to fill out any BS paperwork. We go straight into the massage as soon as we are ready. We requested that the massage be focused on our back, shoulders, and lower back. The pressure was perfect. After what felt like a reasonable amount of time, it was time to flip over. I was waiting for Jessie to tell me the massage was over, but she kept going. Apparently, we had 20 more minutes left. Jessie gave my feet a thorough massage, which I didn't think I needed, but really enjoyed. Hot stones were not requested but a nice bonus. I tend to take them for granted, but they feel so good. Overall, the whole massage was so well thought out and executed. We could not be more pleased. First start to finish it was a very relaxing experience. You get to choose your foot soak and then they begin the dry massage experience. After the massage they have you sit on the other side of the chair, place a warm eye mask & begin the foot massage. That massage was absolutely amazing! My appointment was at 11 AM. The place is located on the east side of Girard Avenue so don't be on the west side like I was looking around in circles lol I arrived 10 minutes late. They still honored me as no one was there yet they brought me in right away. I took off my belongings and put them in the basket and had a seat in a very relaxing chair. Mia was my masseuse. She brought up the basket of water along with the fresh herbs that I selected, which was wormwood and ginger. I selected wormwood for circulation and ginger for detox ation so while my feet were soaking, she gave me a bottle of water then began to massage my back my neck and shoulders when I say Myra went to work, lol iykyk ..I had to slow her down on my left shoulder as I had rotator cuff surgery. She proceeded in a soft manner on that side that she worked her way down my backside once she was done with my neck, shoulders, and back she proceeded to massage my arms, then my hands, then the palm of my hands. She pulled each finger till they cracked. She spent at least 20 to 25 minutes doing that then she proceeded with my feet first she laid a paper eye cover then on top of the paper she placed a warm rag over my eyes. It was amazing. The masseuse kept trying to sell a deep tissue massage but I declined. Then for the pain in my back, she suggested a topical oil "medicine" which she said has been a fan favorite by other clients. I was skeptical and she said it was only an additional $5 so I opted for it. While the medication felt nice, the massage was mediocre but still did the job. What bothered me the most was that when I went to go pay, the woman then quoted me $10 for the medication. Her colleague agreed that it was $10 and I'm sure that may be the price however, my masseuse told me $5 in the room. She then began to raise her voice and shout that she never said that. There wasn't much that I could do since it was post-service. To top it all off, both women demanded a minimum of a 20% tip for their services for both me and my husband. I have no problem tipping but when it is demanded and the minimum starts at 20% - that is ridiculous. Tips are welcomed not required. I truly feel cheated and scammed and will not recommend this place to anyone any longer. There are many other massage places that are better in terms of quality, care, and cost that are deserving of your business.
