It's a cozy arena setting where you can sit on the grass or bring your own chairs and pop up shade tents. The family events include lead-in keiki polo as well as proper club play. Annual charity events bring out the community to watch and participate. Very casual and relaxed because it's all about having a good time. Family, friends, fun in a beautiful outdoor setting - you can't go wrong with that. It's seasonal so be sure to check their calendar before heading here. Venues may vary depending on weather.

Here's the first fact you need to know: it's FIVE BUCKS to get in. This is by far the least expensive polo match I've ever heard of. Go through the gate and down a long, windy dirt road. You'll arrive at the polo field itself, which overlooks Maui's central valley, Kahakuloa Head and the Pacific Ocean. Once you're at the field, you can either sit in the sun-sheltered grandstand and hear the announcer's calls, or you can back your car right up to the field and tailgate. More people seem to take the tailgating option, but if you're unfamiliar with the game (like we were), it's probably a better idea to sit in the grandstand and hear the announcer explain what's happening. Everybody here was friendly, even though we were quite clearly tourists who had strayed pretty far from the resort areas. Definitely worth checking out if you're on the island! Matches are held every Sunday.

I ended up doing the daily since I could only come to the gym for 2 days. The process was easy and fast and membership was fast and helpful. I had to download the GymMaster app which unlocked the door during business hours. There was some initial set to connect to the app. But once that was done it was easy going. In terms of decor, its a clean gym and that includes the sauna / restroom area. The equipment needs maintenance and was a holdover from when this was a 24 hour fitness. I came on Wednesday and Thursday so the gym itself wasn't as busy as it could have been since I came after work. My only issue was that there wasn't any wifi available. Overall, this was a convenient community gym.

There's a mix of free weights (dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells) available and machines if you're trying to work specific muscle groups. The facility itself is well-kept, and you'll often see staff making rounds and cleaning. The only downside is that the bathroom can sometimes smell pretty strongly of cleaning products, but honestly, I'd rather that than question how clean it is. We have been doing that for more than a year and no one said anything before. My son & I are customers who should be treated properly. So I went to the desk to ask the clerk to check my membership. All of a sudden, Lei cut me off trying to explain the conversation between the Jessica (manager) & my son. WHY? I was already talking to other clerk. Unless we break the rules, please be nice.

It really shows in their senior belts. They teach self defense and how to deal with bullying through verbal communication as well as educating you why a physical altercation is a last resort. We tried many other seasonal sports but i wanted something my family could do all year around. The knowledge my kids have learned and the confidence thay have gained from OMA has benefited them in so many ways in school and in everyday life.
