When I pulled my boat out of his shop to get the repairs done by a different technician Anthony got mad and went up on his diagnostic charges from $1200. to $1600. I live on the lake and did not own a trailer. Anthony came and picked up my boat with his trailer and he damaged the propeller on my forward facing drive and refuses to pay for the repair of the propeller. I went and purchased a trailer just to get my boat away from Anthony.

I asked AI to help me find a boat repair shop with a great reputation. AI recommended three in my…read morearea and called them all. I decided to go with Lake Point Boat Repair. I read every review -- good and bad -- and even called other shops to ask if they'd heard of Joe. They had. One shop even told me they bought a boat from him with zero issues. That told me a lot about his reputation. As someone who's mechanically knowledgeable, I'm careful about who I trust. My first phone call with Joe sealed it. He knew his stuff immediately. We talked through which replacement motor made the most sense for my budget and horsepower goals, and he didn't dodge any of the concerns I brought up from the reviews. His reputation clearly matters to him. Joe was originally hired to replace a motor that had been destroyed by an overheating issue. After the new engine went in, the boat still had a rare overheating problem. Joe kept me fully aware of the diagnostic challenges, even when it caused delays. He was transparent the whole way. The issue turned out to be so uncommon that even the manufacturer -- and several experienced mechanics Joe consulted -- had never seen it before. But Joe didn't quit. He chased it down until he solved it, and the boat now runs great. If you're looking for a shop that values its reputation, communicates honestly, and doesn't give up when things get complicated, Lake Point Boat Repair is the one to trust.

We are a plumbing service company with a large team in office and out and our public spaces can get pretty dirty with so much traffic, but you would never know with TBF taking care of our cleaning for us. There has not been a single week that I have noticed anything not in the exact spot it should be. I will confidently recommend this team to anyone! Out of all the bids we gathered before getting job done, the owner, Mellesha, personally came to our space and was the most professional of all the companies I called on. She took her job seriously, and made me feel like a human with real needs, unlike the other companies that just wanted my sq footage and sent in a quote. She was thorough with questions and I appreciated that. If you are shopping around shop no more! These people are fantastic!

I told him the boat / fiberglass shop I just picked up the boat from sanded and polished a couple of places and said the gelcoat was too bad of shape and needed to be repainted. So we got together on about what to expect in painting it. So Rod picked the boat up at my storage and took it to his shop so he could give an accurate estimate for the work needed and materials. A few days later he told me to come to the shop and we would go over the estimate. He had polished 3 places on the boat and said the gelcoat was good. The polished places looked good. So we decided to recondition the gelcoat. He removed all the interior, gauges, engine and disconnected all the hydraulics. Later reinstalled it all. After all the cleaning and polishing he sprayed clearcoat on it. It looked perfect. Looked like it did when new. Rod's bid was spot on. His bid for repainting if we had to was a few thousand dollars less than two other quality shops. Plus saving the gelcoat kept the boat's value up. Rod touched base with me weekly and sent pictures to keep me aware of the progress. It could not of gone any better. In the future if I need fiberglass or paint work I will definitely go to Rod.
