The bar is spacious and clean, appointed in the classic Wisconsin style, and I happened to go at happy hour, when domestic beers will set you back the sum of two bucks! It is a total locals bar- the kind of place where they bring their own coozies and they do not even have to order, as their preferred beverage is known. A wandering stranger such as myself is likely to be treated with a certain benign neglect by the regulars, which is perfectly fine, especially because the irrepressibly charming bartender Jess is simply a force of nature.
