For my dear friends in the UK: the Bay Area contigent is totally jaded, used to being able to pull up ANYWHERE and be granted FREE access to the internet. Myself included. IMAGINE my HORROR at being at my cousins in Hitchin, my beloved worhshipped cousins- not only do they not have Wi-Fi...they have...wait for it.....DIAL UP!!!!!!!! WHAT CENTURY IS IT!?!?!? So I had to find a way to get in contact with the "outside" world, besides smoke signals, and FAST. Few places in their town of Hitchin HAVE Wi-Fi hubs. Those that do take you to the cleaners for every pound you have. Enter McDs. I can not remember the last time I was in a fast food establishment (besides In-N-Out Burger, which is a once a year thing for me). So I was in SHOCK when I found out that NOT only did McDs have Wi-Fi, it WAS FREE! Suddenly, I was a customer, almost DAILY to the golden arches. This particular location was clean, with a friendly staff. My fellow customers were rather scary to me- loud, crass and always staring at me. I would complain to my cousins about the clientele, but they would just say, "It's MCDONALD'S, IT'S FREE INTERNET, WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!?!?!" Um, they had a point. So if you are hard up for a free spot to check the 'Net, get a McFlurry and hit Grimace's place. Just watch out for all the Chavs- they are aplenty!

I have been in here on several occasions (at least 4 times) when their toasting machine has been broken, which has been rather irritating since the sandwiches are just not the same if they aren't toasted. It annoyed me that this problem has recurred so often in this branch - how hard is it to replace a toaster?!

They have to be Hitchin's most prolific leaflet dropping service - we seem to get a new leaflet…read moreadvertising their latest deals on our doormat every week. That said, they're pizza is worth advertising because it's really good. It's always well cooked with a lovely crust and they're range of 'extras', garlic bread etc is also lovely. They are also a very efficient outfit - telephone orders and dealt with effectively and in a friendly fashion and delivery orders appear at your door in double quick time. They're our nearest pizza outlet so that makes them especially handy for us but I'd recommend others in Hitchin to give them a try as they really are very good.
