Love love love this dance studio! I signed up for the class on a whim because I was visiting…read moreNashville, and my plans for that night were cancelled last minute. I did not know what I was getting myself into, but it was an amazing experience! They don't have many in person classes a week, so the only option that night I was there was beginner hip hop. That class was open to kids and adults, so expect a range of ages! There were probably about 50 people in the class that night, and I was told that it was a "slow night" for them. The studio is huge though, so I definitely had enough space to do my thing. If you follow them on social media and/or subscribe to their email list, then they post the songs in advance! The class starts with a warm up/stretch. I was fortunate that the instructor was the famous Jordan Grace who founded the studio and has been a backup dancer for a ton of big names! She was so sweet and supportive and damnnn can that girl dance! Afterwards, she started teaching the choreo, and it was probably around 30 seconds or less. We also split into partners or pairs to practice in between to make sure everyone knew the choreo. We also split into groups, so your partner could watch and give you feedback. I was confused at first why the class was more expensive ($32) than a regular dance class in NYC, but I soon found out that they do professional group videos every class that's included in that price. We got into groups of 6 people for the small group video. Everyone is cheering you on, so it was a great supportive environment! Just when I thought the class was over, and we were going to watch Jordan and her assistants do their professional video, she had everyone crowd around the center studio sign, and she pulled me out to the middle of the studio floor for a solo professional video. After my initial sheer panic and the amazing crowd pumping me up, I just let loose and danced, so I got a free solo professional video too! After her video group went, then she also pulls random people out one by one to freestyle in the middle! What an experience - totally different from NYC! They send the videos out a few days after the class through a link that's sent via email. If you want your own solo video, then you can pay an extra $10 and stay after the class to be filmed too! They also offer online tutorials of their choreos too! Overall: HIGHLY recommend if you're ever in Nashville to dance here!!!

My son Max was a little too young and inexperienced for their class but I liked the atmosphere and…read morepricing. I'll go back when he's a tad older.

Not recommended. In my opinion, it is no longer about the kids under the new manager who seems to…read moreme to have a "God-complex" of his power over our children. His reaction to a little constructive critique over something as tiny as a t-shirt design was shocking to me and so unnecessary. I don't find aggressive and hostile behavior against a mother and customer of 4 years as appropriate, especially over a t-shirt design and asking you to please calm down. Escalating something so small is not good business and could have been handled much better, like stay out of discussions between moms and let them handle it. Then hurting the child to show control and power is beyond..."If you want [child name] to stay in this program, I believe you need to realize how you speak to the manager of this gym." He came at me for commenting in a group chat with moms about a new sweatshirt design, that I found the new gym one "unreadable and messy" and then me telling him he was creating unnecessary drama and making a huge deal out of nothing. It was bizarre. It's a shirt design! It was a light convo between some team moms working on a team spirit project. I cannot imagine having to question a decision about choreography, positions, or team placement with this man. I stayed out of all that. I just wanted input on a sweatshirt design I would buy for myself. He seems to think women don't have a voice and he can do as he pleases. Well. I do. Now I was told he threatened my 17 year old son his job if Mom won't pull negative reviews. Just more threats and power plays versus calming down and apologizing and leaving the child alone and out of it. Not a good place at this time in my opinion.

I wouldn't recommend the half year or HYPE program. This program has been a big disappointment…read more This is a beginner only and this wasn't expressed at the time of sign up and team placement. My athlete has said this was a waste of time which translates into a lot of wasted money and time. I have heard that the full teams are a different story with a different commitment from the athletes, parents and coaches. If you know what you want then don't do HYPE.
