Much smaller when compared to Estacion Nord. Six Platforms with a couple of Cafes and a McDonalds. Bring some change for the Restroom-1 Euro. They do have a security check before boarding so plan for that. Moved quickly for us around 1:30 in the afternoon. Taxis are lined up and available. Overall, ok for a smaller Stacion.

Due to our limited Espanol and "spontaneous" planning, we decided to purchase or tickets the day before our trip. It looks like we didn't need to, as the ticketing office has 3 people manning the busy area . The station is outdated but they do have your basic cafes and a McDonald's to suit your grab and go needs. Toilettes are right by the exit. Make sure to arrive at least 15 minutes early since they do an X Ray screening of your bags/luggages. We took the "Alvia" high speed train and the trip was only 2 hours! Beats going to the airport and flying anytime ;)
