However, this summer I decided to sign up with Academia Atlantika after having heard positive word-of-mouth reviews. Not only I managed to practice my Spanish with native teachers, but also got to know the typical Andaluzian culture. Conil is charmingly adorable - I feel like it´s the perfect combination between tranquility and lively spirit. The flats offered by the Academy are amazing, most of them even offer private pools which is essential during a summer in Conil. I absolutely adore the whole staff and the groups, because everybody is extremely nice and helpful. There is always plenty to be do - a huge variety of weekly activities like barbeques, typical spanish cultural lesson ( like flamenco, tapas tours ecc.) and , my favourite, tours to important regional towns. That way I can not only improve my level of Spanish quickly, but also get to know the real Spain.

The atmosphere and chilled out vibe of the centre was welcoming and contagious to be around. I especially liked the fact that there was Spanish-speaking staff living at the residence. You could always practice the Spanish you had learnt in class with them. The only bad point I have is that I didn't stay there for longer!

The cultural activities were amazing, especially the sherry tasting was interesting. El Puerto de Santa Maria is also perfectly located to discover Andalusia. In the weekends I went to Gibraltar and Cadiz, these cities were very nice and are worth a visit!
