The first place I looked for reference was Yelp and there was nothing. So I took a chance and gave Theresa Mc Afee (owner) a call. We chatted for a bit then made an appointment to do a meet and greet with my dog. As I arrived at the residence I was already impressed, lovely established neighborhood, well kept yards, lots of green and many trees. Theresa greeted us warmly at the door and welcomed us into her home. She has her own dog and at the time of the visit was keeping two other "boarders". My dog Winston did the required dog greeting ritual with the other dogs and then they all went out into the well kept and clean yard area.No pens!!!! I was already at ease. Theresa and I chatted for a while and discussed my needs as well as what her services will be. By the time we finished chatting we agreed I would bring Winston for an overnight to see how he fit in with the pack. I returned several days later and dropped off the dog, his food and blanket and went on my way. When I returned the next morning to pick him up everything was calm, no barking dogs or insanity often found at larger boarding facilities. A happy and calm dog greeted me at the door. Theresa stated he was a perfect guest, and I have found a perfect place to take my "baby". If you are looking for an in home care spot for your pet, this has to be the place. Your dog will have professional, personal care, walked or run if you request and never be left alone at night. One of the most impressive and sweet things I experienced, Theresa sent me a few pics of Winstons activities during the day. The one I liked the best, on Sunday morning he was allowed to curl up next to her husband and watch the news, just like at home.

My dog had an wellness appointment at 3pm and we got there at 2:58. I didn't even get up to the counter and they knew who my dog was and got her checked in. Friday afternoon seem to be very busy so in the future I'm plan for another day even though we didn't wait long before being called back into an exam room. My dog has never been afraid of the vet or exam rooms, she just wants every one to love on her and there was no shortage of that from the vet assistant, the staff in the back, or her new vet Dr. Reardon. The whole exam was pretty quick and they listened to any concerns I had. What I also wasn't expecting was that I could pay right in the exam room. Usually I had to go back up to the front. I don't know if that was to alleviate doggie traffic or because it was Friday, but I had no complaints. I was in and out of there. Thank you all. You guys are awesome.

I was referred to their clinic and took my two dogs there this morning. I saw the sign (I was referred there by someone) and inquired about it. The vet tech said they do not give credit to the person who was referred even though their sign states that they do. I called the clinic when I left inquiring again but they stated that the signs are old and they've asked management to remove them from the patient rooms but they haven't yet done so. After the call, I visited their website to find the same verbiage active on their site: https://www.coastalvethospital.com/patient-resources/refur-a-friend/ This is an unacceptable, deceptive business practice. Buyer beware.
