This place has all of the right trappings to make you remember what the experience used to be like. Right down to the candy and pop being available behind the counter. The pinball selection is terrific, best I've seen outside of the pinball Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. A nice mixture of retro and modern machines. I was also impressed to see that every single machine was up and running with none down for maintenance. I was also happy with the selection of retro video games. Virtua fighter two used to be fun, I'm not as good at it as I used to be, lol. I would certainly enjoy coming back!

You definitely need to go to both. At the hands on park there were baby goats roaming, little pigs roaming, you can get up close and personal with llamas, and so much more. My kids especially loved holding the little bunnies! You can't pick them up yourself but an employee will place them on your lap for you. I highly recommend buying the stuff to feed the animals. You can get pellets, carrots, apples, and little sticks with birdseed on them for the bird enclosure. Watch for signs because some animals can't have the pellets and some can't have anything at all. There are also a bunch of play structures for the kids to play! Twice a day they have bottle feedings and you can call ahead to book or book when you get there! You can't have outside food and the website says they sell food but it's just snacks, ice cream, and other similar treats. We did not know and hadn't eaten so we were so hungry! My son wanted to eat the carrots for the animals The drivethru was also great. You have to have the windows rolled up and the door locked while you drive through the Bear portion. There was a Bear that did a somersault right in front of the car! It was so cute! You can buy a bucket of pellets to feed most of the animals in the drive-thru too! Be careful though! There was a camel that ripped the bucket right from my hand! He was too strong for me If you have leftover pellets from the walk-through portion, ask the person at the gate of the drivethru for an empty bucket and you can dump them inside to feed the drivethru animals!

They have a menu of appetizers, dips, charcuterie board, soft pretzels, flatbreads, etc. They also have some ciders, limited beer, and non alcoholic options. If you are not a fan of Michigan wines, you may not enjoy this spot. Our group had a variety of options, but like start it was a laid back place.

The long front straight allows some BIG speeds as well as a moment to relax before the onslaught that is the back 2/3 of the track. On-camber, off-camber, uphill and downhill, and that's all in just one turn! (seriously). There's even a "jump" and a banked "bowl" - it's simply outstanding from start to finish. If you have a chance to run some laps here, DO IT!

I usually ride the motorcycle days here with Sportbike Track Time. However, the bathrooms are HORRENDOUS! I mean "want to gag or throw up" disgusting. I mean "afraid to sit down" disgusting. Graffitti is all over the walls of the stalls. The mirrors are etched with carvings from what seem like teenage girls. Do I really need to read that "Kate loves Mike" (with a heart around it) while I'm in the bathroom stall? (in addition to other proclamations of "love" in the bathroom stalls?) Also by the end of the day, the toilets are clogged and no one fixes them. The water that comes from the sink really stinks. At least they have good soap (economy sized Dove with moisturizers, phew!). The showers are sooo gross and the shower curtains look like they are from the '80s and haven't been changed since. (ew!). The curtain is even falling off the shower curtain rings in one of the stalls. I have never showered there -- too scared to. All of the times I've been to Grattan, we've had to find hotels in the area for the weekend. It would be more convenient if we could camp and if the bathroom facilities were a bit cleaner. It makes you want to wish you could hold off on going to the bathroom until you could leave the racetrack. Additionally, the concession stands don't have much selection for lunch. Hot Dog, Bratwurst, Chili Dog, Chips. I can't complain as I am sometimes in the mood for that kind of food. Summertime does that to me I guess. I have a soft spot in my heart for Grattan Raceway as I've always enjoyed the track itself, but gosh, I wish they'd fix the bathrooms especially if you have to spend the whole day there.

I've been going to Grange Fruit Farm for the past few years for seasonal fruit picking. I love…read morecherry season in West Michigan, and it's back! Grange just opened the last week of June for sweet cherry u-pick. I went at 9 am on a Friday when they opened and picked almost 4 pounds in 30 minutes. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They'll give you however many buckets you want (each bucket holds about 5 pounds) and direct you to the picking area. I had fun trying each of the three varieties they had available: cavalier, black pearl, and white gold. They post on social media when each variety is ready to pick. Sour cherries usually come a bit later in July, but I prefer having lots of sweet cherries to eat. As of June 2025, U-pick cherries are $2.90 per pound. You can also buy pre-picked cherries, as well as other items at their farm stand. They take cash and credit cards. The parking area is a bit small, but I've always just gotten there early so I'm not sure if they have an overflow parking area anywhere. I'm looking forward to hopefully coming for blueberry season next!
