He was well qualified, very knowledgable, a great trial attorney, and very responsive to our calls and emails. We highly recommend him. However, on the downside, this firm is extremely expensive, constantly raised the hourly billing rate (as soon as 30 days after signing a retainer agreement!) and seemed to have no consideration as to how much the matter was costing us. We were very clear up front as to the value of the property in litigation and as to what we could afford yet still, we wound up spending $250,000 in litigation over a property with $160,000 in equity.

The entire justice system seemed pitted against him, including a prosecutor who would not offer any plea bargains. This was despite the state having zero evidence of the ticket they gave him, they fully intended to go to trial. Jacob was very methodical throughout the process and drove the two hours to court, the day of trial. Within minutes of speaking with the judge, Jacob was able to get the case dismissed, with 30 hours of community service and admitting no fault. I was very impressed with Jacob's knowledge of the statutes and law procedures. He is very candid and easy to get along with, yet when it comes to defending you, he is nothing but focused, and determined. Highly recommend!

At least my son found a competent attorney with a spine who knows the law so well, she didn't get flustered by opposing council's tactics as this guy did.

Mr Zack sounded professional and qualified to do this very simple probate case, boy did I misread that. Please keep in mind that this is a very simple and uncontested probate case with very minimal assets and only 2 siblings (which were in complete agreement). Well 2 years later the probate is almost complete. This has been the worst experience I've ever experienced with what should be a "professional" business. The level of incompetence that this attorney and his staff has demonstrated over the past 2 years is mind boggling. When I originally spoke to Mr Zack he said that an uncontested probate can be easily handled in 6 months with more difficult cases taking 1-2 years. Fast forward 2+ years and my very simple case is almost complete only after my wife and I had to, on multiple occasions, call to forcefully inquire. If you are considering hiring Mr Zack or his associates I would strong urge you to reconsider and retain someone else who is actually qualified. The only reason I gave 1 star is because a negative star wasn't an option.

It was a very clear-cut, non contentious divorce that should've taken 3 months MAX and could've been done sans lawyer - but I didn't want to deal with the paperwork headache. So I paid a $4,000 retainer with the assurance that we would NOT exceed that amount unless it turned into a battle that went to court. Well, we never went to court and were in agreement every step of the way, yet Marc is now trying to charge additional funds after the divorce took 8 months due to HIS disinterest in the case. This lack of attentiveness led to MULTIPLE, repeated mistakes that should've never occurred because the majority of the divorce - including the parenting plan, division of property / debts and other miscellaneous details - had all been laid out by myself at the very beginning. Every time these mistakes were brought to his attention, with a gentle reminder for him to "refer to the original paperwork" - I was charged for him to make the corrections. I was told numerous times that certain paperwork or filings were already completed - then weeks or even months later, was surprised to hear that he was still working on those same items and you guessed it - being charged for them again. More than once, I sat in his office for appointments where he went over details that we had ALREADY ADDRESSED and reviewed in previous meetings - which was once again, a clear opportunity to double-charge me. I even had to ask for corrections on the child support order 3 different times (!!) - when I kept pointing out that the amounts were "off" compared to what I had determined in my own calculations. If I could give a zero, I would. Perhaps he was a good lawyer in the past, or is better with other areas of law - but when it came to a simple divorce, he was incredibly incompetent and expressed NO sense of urgency. In all honesty, his secretary was the only reason anything got done. Maybe I might've had a better experience if I was one of his "bigger ticket" clients - but unless you want to be exorbitantly charged for extreme lack of detail and disregard for your case, heed my advice and take your legal matters elsewhere!

I found Mr. Khalidi to be duplicitous, perfidious, unorganized and lacking knowledge of the financial aspects required in dividing community property. Additionally, Mr. Khalidi and the opposing council Mr. Robert Lewis III erroneously tried to utilize 2005 superseded case law Biddulph v. Biddulph (1985) to massively overvalue community property in favor of the petitioner. My goal was to settle as quickly as possible, and Mr. Khalidi made this process very difficult for them. I provided Mr. Khalidi with evidence and expert witnesses, which he dismissed. I also tried to hire a different attorney, but Mr. Khalidis peers refused to take over my case or were busy. I gave Mr. Khalidi one star because I couldn't give him a lower evaluation.
