We are vacationing in Hilton Head and my PT was extended by my insurance to cover yet more treatments. I have seen "some" improvement having had dry needling procedure in the past and when I began my search for PT while in HH my priority was to find someone to continue with the dry needle procedure. I was directed to Lava on 2 Greenwood Dr. and Janine Russman the Physical Therapist trained in the technique of dry needling. For the first time in years after only a handful of treatments, I am able to walk without pain and all credit goes to Janine. Not only is she a miracle worker but she is the epitome of professionalism and her knowledge of this affliction is outstanding as she too suffered from this affliction at one time. Great massage from Mike - by far the best I've had in a long time. At home I get a massage…read moremonthly and have gotten pretty particular with services so I'm usually reluctant to try new places. Visiting HHI and was gifted this massage from my sister (who is a Crossfit Instructor.) Her referral was spot on. Mike is also an Ironman athlete and I appreciated having someone in tune to my needs. The facility is very spacious, clean and relaxing. It was easy to find the building location which in HHI isn't always easy. (Just drive around the back of the building for easier access to the suite.) Once I got there Mike was ready with a warm welcome and a very limited amount of paperwork to complete. I loved the first question asking about how much talking you wanted - I indicated "very little" but I wound up being more talkative myself - but it's always nice to have the choice and he let me lead the conversation. The massage room was spacious and well decorated, again very relaxing. Mike asked the usual questions and tried to figure out my needs. The massage itself was perfect; it was obvious that he was well trained not only as an LMT but as an athlete and well versed in Kinesiology. I prefer a deep tissue massage and he didn't fail to deliver. I appreciated the his control of his strength (no trembling) - just solid smooth controlled pressure and stretching. Without instruction he worked on areas that, based upon my activities, would be most needed. I'd recommend him to anyone who was an athlete or was looking for more than just a relaxing massage. (Although I have no doubt that he could accommodate anyone's need.) After the session Mike greeted me at the door with water and followed up with checking to see how everything went. I would without a doubt go back to him the next time I'm in town and recommend him to anyone.

My back is always giving me pain however after a massage with Mike, my pain is minimized tremendously! He knows exactly the pressure I need to get relief! I would never waste my time with anyone else! The facility is extremely clean and relaxing! You will feel at ease the moment you walk in the door. I highly recommend this facility! I am so grateful I found it!!
