We had such a great experience staying at the Hilton Garden Inn with the Eastern Michigan University lacrosse team! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make everything smooth and stress free. Tammy Judy was absolutely amazing. She helped us with all our accommodations, answered every question, and truly knew what she was doing. She made our stay so much easier, especially with such a large group. Anthony at the front desk was just as incredible, always kind, quick to help, and on top of anything we needed like towels and water And Pam in the kitchen/bar area was a bright spot every day, always ready to help with ice, drinks, and anything else, with the sweetest smile. This morning at checkout, Tammy recommended 7 Brew Coffee. I ended up walking there (passing Starbucks and Dunkin' along the way!) and it was totally worth it, such a nice little adventure before heading back. Now I'm relaxing in the lobby waiting for the shuttle to take me to the airport, I just can't say enough good things about this place. Professional, kind, accommodating, and genuinely a caring staff. "Okay hear me out- it's a Monday- and we want to be cheerful. The popup bar that's open is a hotel." I lay down the situation with my busy friends, who collectively can only find a Monday in December that works for all of us to get together. And the Hilton hotel bar comes up. I'm skeptical- but this place was layered with holly jolly. A choir sang Christmas carols followed by a professional singer. Lights are everywhere. Service is so friendly. My only downfall is it is hotel bar pricing so drinks are $12+ which feels super high being outside of the city and near college campus. They do this for Halloween and Valentine's Day! Good location for being close to family & the city. The room was nice, however, the Hilton brand seems to have gotten away from actual bathroom doors in favor of sliding barn doors. These doors are cool, but offer NO PRIVACY because they DO NOT SHUT like a normal door would. So, you can SEE OUT and HEAR EVERYTHING!! Poor door choice when upgrading the rooms. A barn door is ok if you're traveling solo or with toddlers - not teen boys. The king bed felt old, the pillows were all flat & the bed frame was extremely squeaky. The blackout blinds were amazing! The shower was tiny & awkward. Breakfast was made to order & cost an extra fee. The bar was nice and the overall esthetic of the lobby, bar & room were nice. We often stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Airport (Moon Township) the night before an early vacation flight. It's incredibly convenient to leave our car there at a reasonable rate while we're away. The rooms are always clean, the service is excellent, and the staff is exceptionally friendly. The bar area is beautiful--always festively decorated for the holidays--and the food is delicious. The location is ideal, with easy access to shops and restaurants. We've also attended several events hosted at the hotel and have consistently had a wonderful experience. It's truly our favorite local hotel. read more

My daughter and I were treating her two kids to an evening at a hotel to swim. We needed a last minute reservation because the pool at the Holiday Inn Express (Monaca) was down (they were kind enough to refund me immediately). We decided to book at the Hilton Garden Inn. My daughter was reserving through booking.com and I was going to pay for the room once we arrived. Since the booking that my daughter made had not shown up yet in the system we were told by Devin, the person at the counter, that we could wait for an undetermined amount of time for the booking.com reservation to show up or she could cancel her reservation with booking.com. I then reserved our room #109 and paid for it. The following day my daughter found out that her card was charged $205 plus $50 for incidentals. My daughter appealed to booking.com and they said they understood and were on her side and a review would take 5 days. Ultimately, the manager at the Hilton refused to refund the money and stated that the $205 that my daughter paid was the cancellation fee. Two hundred for a cancellation fee for a room that would have cost $205 did not seem to make sense. Since Allen, the supervisor at the Hilton, refused to resolve our issue by refunding the money she was charged for the room, I asked to speak to his supervisor and was told that there is no one on the premises. I asked for his supervisor's phone number and he refused to give me that information. My daughter is now attempting to contact the corporate office in hopes of getting this issue resolved. It's unfortunate that we have not been offered any resolution considering that we only used one room that was paid for by me that evening. I will update this if, by chance, we get a satisfactory response from Hilton. read more

I have been staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Airport on average of 3 weeks a month since June 2025. This is an amazing hotel for business, family, and individual casual travel. The location is convenient to Pittsburgh airport as well as surrounding restaurants and attractions. The Hilton Garden Inn has more than adequate parking available. The hotel and staff are total professionals in every aspect. The rooms are well maintained daily. The staff are courteous and go above and beyond to support the customer. The hotel has a bar and a restuarant with great food. They actually decorate the bar and restaurant area seasonally and for holidays. People travel from within 2 hours away to come and visit the bar and restaurant to see the decorations. Great marketing and advertising. The bartenders, cooks, front desk manager, front desk staff, sales team, and housekeeping all provide excellent customer service and customer relations management. They engage with the customer and provide that human touch that is so lost in business today. They all understand and grasp the value of capturing the customer lifetime value and the impact on the ROI. The GM and management team have assembled an amazing team of staff and employees. The Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Airport is an amazing representation of the 'Hilton' Brand. This is a solid 3.5 stars. It's outdated, but everting is clean and comfortable. The heating works well, there's a great desk area for working and the WiFi is speedy. It's close to some places to eat as well, if you need to leave the hotel for a bit. There were some signs of wear and tear like chipped paint on the ceiling, but the sheets were clean and so was the shower. read more

Had an unexpected extra stay in town due to a canceled flight, and this hotel did its job. Clean room, friendly staff, plentiful snacks and drinks available for purchase in the lobby, and probably most notably, a complimentary shuttle to/from the airport 1.8 miles away. Room service isn't available during this covid era, so I went downstairs to the grille for a late dinner and was happy to inhale my cheeseburger and fries. It took about 20 minutes after ordering to get it, but I figured the staff was a bit short handed. Found out later that the poor employee who was waiting tables was also in charge of the bar and cooking all by her lonesome! Yowsa! Horrible. My suite was not clean. They gave me one miniature soap, so I had to wash my hands with it then take same soap in to shower. Service for food at the only restaurant is terrible. Hot tub not working. Digital key stopped working for no reason. And had to go to desk for a key. On day 2 I asked to have my room cleaned, I put in request at front desk at 9am and when I returned at 6pm my room had not been cleaned. I had no towels no water no coffee and garbage cans overflowing. This is the kicker: when I asked why my room had not been attended to the lady said "we had a lot of rooms to clean today". I'm paying for a suite! Clean the room! Walls were dirty too.... Stay away from this hotel. Total waste of $. I will never go back read more

Good afternoon, My name is Jean D Prophete Jr, I am the graphic designer at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and I'd like to report on my negative experience I had at your bar with a female employee named LouAnne. When I arrived at the bar I immediately ordered a beer, pulled my card out and asked LouAnne to start a tab. My wife soon arrived and she ordered a drink; LouAnne grabbed my card and placed it in her back pocket stating she had to run it in the back. I was skeptical about this practice because I've seen people card information stolen this way, nonetheless I obliged. I then watched as LouAnne took drink and food orders from several Caucasian customers without asking for their card or assuring they were staying in the hotel so she could charge it to their room. LouAnne never asked me if I was a patron at the hotel or not. When I had grown impatient and asked for my card back LouAnne brought me a receipt booklet and my card as if I was cashing out and leaving. When I told her I wanted to cash out she told me she needed my card back even though I gave her my card and she presented my recipe to to me like she charged the card already (which validated my feelings that LouAnne was holding my card simply because she assumed I'd run off on the tab or find a way not to pay.) The freedom and grace she gave the numerous Caucasian customers ordering freely without handing over their cards or confining they were hotel patrons further validated my claims and feelings. This experienced was shared with the manager on duty who didn't have much to say because it was very obvious LouAnnes actions were discriminatory toward me due to the color of my skin. I asked that the Hyatt does better at training their employees on discriminatory practices. A hotel is a home away from home for individuals of all walks of life to utilize as they may as long as their respectful and paying patrons. My one year wedding anniversary has started late because my wife and I arrived at the airport at 4:30 a.m. and had our flights cancelled due to the world wide cyber attack. We're travelling professionals taking a load off from a stressful morning and it's a shame visiting this beautiful hotel lobby added more stress onto this historically catastrophic day for airlines. I stayed at this hotel based on the airport shuttle. The staff is inconsistent with their shuttle information. We waited over 45 minutes to be picked up from the airport. When we were finally picked up, they drove right by the hotel and dropped people off further away. When I informed the hotel about their inaccurate information, they shrugged it off and said "we use a third a party." I did receive an e-mail from a Rob. He wrote "please contact me direct at the e-mail or phone below." There was no e-mail or phone number listed below & it was sent from a generic no-reply e-mail address. They provide inaccurate information and poor customer service. read more

We chose this hotel for the parking & shuttle service. After waiting 45 min on the shuttle, Globe Shuttle showed up to get us for the "courtesy shuttle" & said they had only just received a call to pick us up. I called 4 times during the 45 minute wait. Unacceptable. Additionally, when we booked online, the rate showed that it included free parking. When we arrived, we had to pay for parking for all 3 of our rooms. HGI franchise is quickly approaching perfection: perfect bathroom (barn door shower, no bath, baskets to dry wet clothes, night-light switch), work area (ergonomic desk chair, lamp, LOTS of PLUG-INs, swivel TV), fitness center (TVs work seamlessly with controls on cardio equipment), no curtains: Blackout Shade! Finally! Restaurant was typical HGI: not much effort to do anything special, but certainly better than average. Temperature control seemed off: set to 72F should not be too cold. Hilton Garden Inn Is arm's throwing distance to PIT International Airport, Robert Morris University and the 911th Airlift base outside of Pittsburgh. In addition to hotel services, HGI offers event planning and meeting services and they have a decent bar/bistro in the lobby. The hotel is really new (July 2017) making it attractive for travelers who aren't keen on sleeping in old hotels or beds. Rooms are well appointed with USB charging ports, large tv, fridge, microwave and a (my favorite) a Keurig Coffee machine. Complementary wireless internet and connections to a printer in the business center The flat screen tv has more channels than I care to count. HBO is included. Downstairs there are several large banquet rooms and a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. The is a pool and workout room too but I forgot to pack sneakers so I plan to do my in room SWORKIT routine tonight. I like HGI and will be happy to come back to this particular one on my next trip to Pitt. read more

I was truly amazed this hotel sets off in the cut you don't hear any traffic very clean the room I was in front desk was so helpful to me I have a disability but on top of that I broke my ankle and the food we had ordered had no utensil to eat with and it was late after 2am and they brought me some plastic silverware up now that's service with a smile my 1st night was a very relaxing and comfortable sleep I truly appreciated and enjoyed my shower I was able to shower safely. I love the fact everywhere I turned there was a sanitized station I even did my dust check I have bad allergies sorry but very little to none. A fan so far! The room is large and spacious! King size comfy bed. My original room was 3rd floor in the back. I had a handicap that made it hard to walk and last second the staff was more than willing to help accommodate me. They changed my room to 1st floor, handicap accessible and near the door. They also allowed me to check in early. The décor is modern and updated. Everything seems very new. Breakfast is not included but this may be due to my type of reservation. Only night 1 here but so far, I am enjoying my experience. The staff is great and the living conditions are more than acceptable! read more

How an IHG property can have, in 2022 no less, such sub-par Wi-Fi is beyond me. I stayed for two weeks. There is no chance I would stay here again, based 100 percent on my inability to stream, email, or surf without bogging down. Very early in the am, it's acceptable. We do a trip to the area every year. Every year we get a room near the airport to clean up, rest up before a flight home to Oregon. We had been staying at the hotel at the airport but decide 4yrs of dirty rooms and poor service was enough. So this year we booked here at Hilton Garden Inn. What a difference!!' Worst hotel in the Hilton chain. Waited more than 40 minutes for the shuttle to pick me up at the airport and the hotel is only eight minutes away. Desk clerk didn't seem to know how to to dispatch a driver. After I called a fourth time to inquire about the shuttle the desk clerk hung up on me. Finally had to take an Uber. Very nice room, clean. Great location. Basic room, nothing extra; no microwave, mini fridge or anything like that. I have to say, the King size bed was one of the most comfortable beds we've ever slept on. We slept great. (I wish I knew the make of the bed so I could buy one.) The a/c worked perfectly and kept the room nice and cool all night. (The hallways and elevators were as hot as a sauna though!) I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for a basic room. It was perfect for what we needed at the time. The restaurant in this hotel is excellent!! It was late when we got in and were a little hungry so we just had appetizers. Everything was delicious.
