    Hair on the sheets

I feel as if I want to do 2.5 stars but can't and 2 would be harsh, so 3 it is. We checked in around 11pm. Got to our room and unloaded the cooler into the mini fridge. The fridge was barely cold and had no knob to control the temp. Proceeded to wash my face and brush my teeth. I think I was so tired and happy to be off the road that I didn't check the bed first, like I normally do. The bed had multiple hairs-what appeared to be from a head and pubic hair. Gross... Don't get me wrong, I've checked into a hotel and have seen a singular hair. I try to give the benefit of the doubt that it could have been the cleaning person who it fell off of (I shed a ton of hair, so I get it). These sheets clearly weren't changed. A solid 10 short, dark hairs. What even looked like a weird clump of hair. I went to the front desk and changed rooms. The next room had clean bedding. Though the whole place is just worn and needs updating. Only one elevator was working. The wallpaper seams were all peeling. The tub was stained. The furniture was marked up, faded. The front desk staff was very friendly and nice at check in and when I came down about the room. For $300 and a Hilton Garden Inn this was not the typical Garden In experience. I would not stay here again. My bad for not checking Yelp first which I usually do religiously for many things but not hotel rooms. Lesson learned...

i'm sorry i haven't even drank a glass of water since like skibidi o clock (im not one of those trolls btw) and i was super thirsty that i decided to go down to the fountain and get a cup of water (since we just got there) and once i pour the water all i see is MOLD PARTICLES!!!!! Hilton you really gotta clean your water tanks man. Makes me never want to drink out of a fountain again. At least this view is sigma.

This hotel is conveniently located at a convergence of highways on the east side of Kansas City. There are many restaurants in the vicinity, along with major stores like Costco and Sam's Club. An excellent steakhouse is attached to the hotel. We stayed for a Saturday night. The hotel was packed. One of the two elevators was broken (repair guys were working on it later in the evening), and that meant long waits. There are unalarmed emergency stairs, but as I found out when I took them down, on the first floor they lead to a non-public area for staff; I was told it was fine I was there, and given directions to the lobby, but it was still awkward. Our room was on the 5th floor with a sunset view of the highway. The space was nice for two people. Our room had a mini fridge, an essential on a road trip, but it lacked a real freezer section for our ice packs. There was a coffee machine with pods and a little microwave, too. There were some noisy aspects to the room: the air conditioner was quite loud when it came on, the toilet had a high pitched scream when flushed, and there was occasional road noise from the highway. I was glad I had ear plugs, but even so, I woke up often during the night because of noises; it turned out the other toilets screamed when they were flushed, too. On a more positive note, the bed and pillows were great. The gym facilities turned out to be shabby. The room had a nonfunctional Peloton bike, a broken treadmill, plus there was a recumbent bike and an elliptical of unknown functionality. The weight set was incomplete. The wall that bordered the pool had a lot of rust along the baseboards. We were left with a conflicted view of the hotel. The location was fantastic, but the hotel was rundown. We're unsure if we'd stay here again.

    Tub

Let me start by saying the front desk staff was wonderful and friendly. Check in went smoothly. I go to my room and no complaints there. It's when I entered the bathroom. The tub was gross. Dingy and dirty looking. I took a picture because I couldn't believe they thought a person could stand in there and shower. It was late and I had an early day at work so I didn't say anything until the morning. I showed the picture to the front desk clerk and she assured me something would be done. When I returned that evening it wasn't. Long story short, nothing was done each morning I left and complained and nothing changed.

Hotel is really good for a reasonable price. Rooms are a little outdated but safe. A really good stay if you want a quick sleep on a road trip.

I travel regularly for work, and spend several nights a week in a hotel on average. I don't write reviews often but this place is down right terrible. The shower/tub the caulking is deteriorating,/moldy, the toilet is leaking, fridge was so loud I had to unplug it. Went to the gym, which is next to the pool, the window between the two is completely rusted and just nasty. Do yourself a favor and don't stay here!

The staff was so nice here and very helpful especially when I thought I lost my wallet!

Love this place! The food was so delicious I had to eat it off the table!! Only bad thing is was they didn't let me bring my delicious breakfast into the pool. :(

Bug on the beside table. Also note the stains on the wall in the background.

I did have a room with 2 queen beds. The room was completely SILENT despite there being a high school or college team of some sport being registered. There was an instance of flammable materials that needed cleaning up. They were handled immediately! There was a toilet paper holder that sat at an angle. The gentleman on the front desk was so incredibly helpful! He jumped to assist with the maintenance issue and added the toilet paper holder to a maintenance request. He did offer to see what he could do for me - which was so sweet! - but there was nothing he could do. It needed to be removed and reseated. This may well have been the quietest hotel I have ever stayed in!! The cleanliness was unquestionable! I did not have an accessible room as I normally like but I had plenty of space. The shower was inside a tub. Shower seats are available by asking for them at the front desk. I was driving from Denton TX to Hastings MN. This was my stop for the night. It was about 25 minutes from Kansas City Airport and is technically in Blue Springs, MO. Literally every single employee we encountered was genuinely friendly which made for a nice stay. We opted for the King Suite since it wasn't very expensive. It was a huge two room suite with living room and bedroom. Each room had a TV and there was plenty of seating. Bed was comfortable but walls were pretty thin. Our neighbors were really noisy. Bathroom was nice but it had no exhaust fan so it was very drippy and wet after a shower. Not only is there a very large free breakfast buffet with fresh made pancakes, waffles, eggs, potatoes, biscuits, and more but you also got free dinner that included three free cocktails per guest per night! The dinner rotates the choices each night. First night was pasta and second night was bbq sliders. Each night also had a nacho bar. I assumed the drinks would be watered down but nope, these were some strong cocktails! They had a menu of different cocktails you could chose from or they had beer and wine. Our large party was having a good time after our margaritas and cherry vanilla sours. Hotel also had a bar and restaurant you could order from. They had $5 desserts you could bring back to the buffet area and they were seriously huge and decadent for $5. I had a giant fruit turnover with a huge scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. Others got a chocolate lava cake that also came with ice cream. Great deal! For the price this was a great hotel. Everybody was friendly, room was comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast and dinner was a nice surprise. They also provided ice scrapers in the lobby for your vehicle if you didn't have one handy which was useful with the snow storm.
