Personally, my wife and I are at the age that we don't use the park very often. However, when our grandkids were here this past weekend, they wanted to go to "that nice park" you took us to last time we were here (over a year ago). Millstone Creek Park offers a little of everything. Nice assortment of playground equipment; accessible; a variety of activities; sports fields; nature/wetlands area; picnic shelter and restrooms. Plenty of parking. My only suggestion for improvement would be the addition of a few more benches for the grandparents who bring their grandkids to the park.

There's a large pond near the parking lot, a memorial located behind the municipal buildings and police department, and winding paved paths that take you around to all of the sights and sounds of the park. Once she tried it out, she loved it. Right now the big treehouse/slide area is closed, but there is a toddler playground, and swings, and the whole area has a soft rubber surface plus some "hills" that she liked running across. Nearby are several "porch swings" that are popular, plus a railroad station-looking shelter with bathrooms. There's a "Presidential Grove" of trees, and some open areas. Plenty of parking to the west- come in from the library lot. A great park, in a handy location. We'll be back.

On the far end is a playground, with a very nice large shelterhouse with picnic tables. The playground is a lot of wood, metal, and climbing nets, and has sections for ages 2-5 and 5-12. By far the biggest draw appeared to be the very tall, fast slide, accessible via climbing net. There are benches available, and play shades available in one section. A nice sized parking lot is available too.

It is a relatively new park (about 5 years old) and has a somewhat non-traditional playground. The playground at Johnston-McVay is actually divided into two sections: * the upper section (closest to the parking lot) features the HAWK, a large wooden climing structure and some "roller slides". This area offers a lot of opportuity for climbing and creative play. * the lower section (closer to the road) has both traditional swings as well as a very unique swing that aloows up to 5 or 6 kids to swing togehter at the same time. My granddaughter and four or five newly found friends were swinging and singing a pirate ditty - pretending that the swing was a pirate ship. One of the nicest features of the park is that there are plenty of benches (some traditional - some large blocks of stone) for parents and grandparents to sit. The park also offers a nice mix of sunny and shady areas.

Modern Nature inspired playground equipment: swings, climbing structures, and most recognizable - Hawk/Nest. The trail around the park has placards that mark a "story path" sponsored by Westerville Library. From the looks of it, it will be a rotating story every few months. Natural play area includes creek access and some large stones for crossing the creek. Park does have a restroom. Great fun for a variety of ages of children. Be sure to stop by!

Park in either lot and walk around the building; it is not visible till you get all the way in back. Wooded, shady, with benches around, it is ideal for smaller children and anyone in a wheelchair. Baby K loved it, and when she fell, on the rubber "ground," she was fine and wanted to keep playing. There was plenty of seating/places to set up your seat, and plenty of parking, including an overflow lot across the street. There appears to be a kids play area and at least one set of restrooms, seasonally available. The night I went, the weather was perfect, and there was plenty of shade in the amphitheater, but my friend indicated that isn't always the case, so plan accordingly!

The main reason we came was to check out the playground, which is right up by the road. There's a fence to contain the kiddies. Looks like a castle, has an assortment of play areas, very nice. The park stretches back from the road, and has trails, a small shelter, a bathroom, playing fields, etc. Lots of open spaces, lots of trees. We'll definitely be back, and I'd love to have a park like this in my neighborhood.
