I would recommend this company again and again. I did not know the degree of quality and their prep…read morework from this company until I tried finding a painter in another state. They did a beautiful job preparing my house before they even started painting . Not a drop of paint on the windows. The trim work was a quality job. All colors were only where I requested they be . You get what you pay for. Pricing right in range. Not high. They painted my entire house before I sold it in CT. Job done, painted, yard cleaned up in 3 day's. A beautiful job!

HORRIBLY OVERPRICED, A RIP OFF! They did a sloppy, very rushed job of streaky, uneven paint…read more They didn't do the amount of coats they said they would do. We could see the old color underneath the new one. They didn't prime. Some areas of the ceiling weren't even painted. They took our money without finishing the job and then gave us a hard time about making it right. Getting someone to return to finish the job was difficult. After leaving several messages, the owner of Preferred Painting came to review the job with us and when we voiced our dissatisfaction he tried to walk out on us. (He already had our money.) We had to beg him to finish the job, and he finally agreed to send someone back. But even after he sent one of his workers to finish the job, there still remain many streaky areas, with the old color showing through. These painters trashed the house, leaving plaster dust coating everything and refused to vacuum it. This was a very stressful, nightmare of a job.

What a great painting company! We were in a pinch on time…read moreand needed a miracle! We got a recommendation in the Cheshire CT Community Forum page and I have to tell you Scott and his team did an amazing job! We called him Sunday he came to bid on Monday and then the team showed up on Tuesday ready to go and then finish today on Wednesday. How many times has that happened to you with a contractor? They did such a good job! They were meticulous and took great pride in their work. Our house looks gorgeous inside because of their efforts. The nicest group of guys they cleaned up after themselves they were respectful and left the place cleaner than when we started. I am truly amazed at this painting company and the service they delivered! I mean Wow!

We could not be happier with Prime Coatings. My husband and I have painted most of our home…read moreourselves, but when it came to painting rooms that involved a slanted popcorn ceiling and a stairwell we decided to invest in a professional. Initially I had received a quote from another painter, but the deal fell through when I asked for a breakdown of his estimate. Seeing that Prime Coatings is recommended by the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce, I decided to give them a call and I am so glad I did! First of all, Scott, the Vice President immediately responded to my phone call and was so pleasant to work with. Scott is very quick to respond to phone calls, texts, and email. He came out to provide an estimate and scope of work within a few days and took meticulous notes and measurements. We received our detailed, itemized contract very soon thereafter. All the pricing was very reasonable, which included the cost of the paint. Their standard paint is Benjamin Moore Regal Select, which is probably the best paint manufacturer. The following week Scott arrived with his foreman Eric, as well as his crew members, Steve and John. Eric, Steve, and John worked tirelessly over two days to complete our painting project. This was impressive, given that they patched and painted two coats on walls and trim for a hall with staircase, three doors and frames, a guest bedroom, and a living room which included repainting a slanted popcorn ceiling. The crew was clean, professional, courteous, and very thorough. They were very accommodating of our pets and were kind enough to replace light bulbs in a fan that is hard to access and even dusted it for us! We were incredibly impressed by the quality painting and patching work. My husband is an engineer with an eagle keen eye for detail and he was thrilled by the caliber of their patching and we both noted how clean the lines in the rooms were painted, especially since the painter that had painted before we bought our home had cut many corners. Prime Coatings are true painting professionals who offer fantastic customer service and deliver high quality work. We could not be any happier with our experience.
