This is the course that I first swung a club on. It's the course where I drove a golf cart for the first time and accidentally drove smack into a tree. It's the course where a friend and I got another cart stuck in a ditch the first time our parents let us go play unsupervised.
So, how can I not say anything but good things about this place. It's a small 9 hold "private" club. And, as the town has shrunk, so has the membership. But, the members are passionate and work hard with the limited resources to keep up the beautiful community they have created.
This little course offers a men's league, Ladies day, scotch foursomes, Wednesday lunches (just cause), as well as a variety of other community building events.
My parents are members here again after years long absence and are really enjoying the fun. And, I'm lucky enough to get to join them when I visit home.
If you happen to visit the area and want to play some golf - check this place out. And while the course may not be top notch, the people are kind and welcoming and you can't beat the view you see when you look back from the green on the 7th!
