Back in January I stepped wrong off a ladder, and set in motion growing pain in my lower back and left leg. By April I could barely sit, stand, or walk. The day after I ended up in the Emergency room, I found Dr. Bert. She got me in right away and while it took a couple of days for my issues to settle down, I was amazed at the almost immediate relief. It took three or four more sessions over a few weeks to get me back on my feet completely. Most Chiropractors would have had me coming back at least two times a week. She gave my body a chance to relax and heal in it's own time. I also have advanced neck problems, and have no concerns about her working on my neck. I give her five stars without any reservation!

Dr. Duncan is a nice lady but not very personable in my opinion--i.e. bedside manner. The staff…read morewas a little snobby and nosey at times. The clinic tends to overbook at times making waiting time extremely long which happened on at least two occasions, and one time resulting in my having to switch rooms after putting on a gown. It was very unsettling, but what can you do? You're in a small town with minimal choices and you get what you pay for so to speak. I expected a little more from a Women's Clinic i.e. empathy, but I guess that's the way it goes in this town or perhaps the healthcare climate this day and age. The facility was clean, but the staff needs work in their bedside manner.

I have been enjoying Paula's services for twenty years. Seeing her attitude toward growth is only…read moreone of the joys she imparts. She is truly the epitome of the life long learner. The other joy is the benefits of health and healing. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and needed both radiation and chemotherapy for my treatments. I knew I would need Paula. I had always gone to her for the messages and had been very satisfied by the those results. But with skin irritations from my treatments, I knew I would need the craniosacral therapy. Honestly was somewhat sceptical of craniosacral therapy and if one would really feel the benefits. Afterall, the treatments themselves are non-evasive. Was I blown away. Honestly, I went into my first appointment hunched over and weak to standing up straight and tall with a bright attitude and new perspective. Since that first appointment of craniosacral, I was a believer to its benefits. I continued my visits regularly with Paula throughout my radiation and chemo treatments and at the end of those treatments both of my doctors said they'd never seen anyone look so good after 5 weeks of treatments. Without hesitation I would recommend you using Paula Johnson at Fort Jones Message Therapy. She's far better than a 5 star rating.

First of All I would like to say Lisa Rugg, FNP seems very thorough & helpful! Our first visit…read morewith her was good. Thank you Lisa & her Medical Assistant! - 5 Stars! Before the visit, well it was kinda rough. From the first phone call with the receptionist at ext 6100, it wasn't very pleasant. I understand this is a clinic, but I have been to many clinics and none of the Receptionist has ever been so stern, rough and seemingly overwhelmed with their work. I understand that clinics see many people at a time, but this is a small town of Yreka, Ca. Are there really that many patients out here that you customer service skills lacks?! I was in Customer Service and Office work. Both need a certain level of customer service. This Receptionist, I wish I knew her name, lacks it in pretty much every phone call that I have made to them. Maybe she recognized my voice or maybe she is like this with EVERYONE. And if so, I am a little surprised I am the first to rate them. I am new to town, so my directions aren't very good here. She tried giving me all these "landmarks" and even though I explained to her that I am new to town and did not know any landmarks. She continued to list off landmarks. She became very irritated and frustrated at me. It seem to be a chore for her to send me the paperwork to fill out before we had an appointment. Took her about a week or so to send it. When I was told that when something is sent within Yreka, to Yreka, It should only take 2days at most! Usually just 1 day. When I finally went into the clinic, she still wasn't very pleasant. She pretended to be too busy to even acknowledge me at the desk. She half smiled, and said she'd be with me in a sec. This was the first time I seen her in person. Since then, every phone call before the first visit that I made was either her or the voicemail. And she was always preoccupied with other things and made like she didn't want to speak to me. Granted this was the 2nd appointment I had to make for my first visit. I couldn't make the first visit and maybe they are upset by that. Yes its a smalll town and you can't do anything here without anyone knowing. But to treat your clients in such a matter really proves you really don't like them, or just don't care. I mean this is the Health Care Industry and they are supposed to be my care providers. Who really wants to go into a clinic or doctor's office that makes you feel uncomfortable? Especially when you are on disability, on a fixed income and have no choice on other clinics to choose from in a small town. Maybe I shouldn't have moved to such a small town. But I did. So here is my hope. Others will write reviews and hopefully it will change some attitudes and behaviors. For now, I have no choice to go elsewhere so dealing with the cons is a little inevitable. I am sure once they find out who wrote this, it may open me up for more discrimination or poor treatment. But its ok, - I just love Yelp for the outlet! - 0 Stars! Next Time I hear the hype about a place, I will take a little more heed! People warned me about her, I just never believed them! So naturally She lost Karuk 3 Stars for the Total of 2 Stars above!
