My mom and I received a pottery lesson/ class as a gift from my sister and we had a fun time! Two hour class included making as many pieces as you can with the pottery wheel. If you get the hang of it you can make some very nice pieces. Brian is a great teacher and so patient with beginners like myself. His studio is beautiful with peaceful scenic views from every angle. Make the trip out to Comfort and treat yourself to a fun day of creativity and the great company of Brian! Super nice guy :) read more

This place is out in the middle of nowhere but the gentleman makes great pieces of pottery. Prices are not of high. If you are in the Fredericksburg area or Comfort, Tx area you should come check this place out. read more

Handmade pottery created from local materials and intended for everyday use, made in the Hill Country of Central Texas. Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country Wineries, located on scenic farm road 473 in Comfort and just minutes from Sisterdale, Fredericksburg, Boerne, and Kerrville. Our gallery houses a frequently evolving variety of handmade pottery, as well as the creations of local artists. Our Gallery and Studio is open daily from 11-6, closed Tuesdays

Meet the Business Owner: Brian B.

I've been creating pottery since 1996, and received my BA from Southwestern University in 2001. The connection with the outdoors, and finding inspiration in landscapes, nature and the human form, is the ultimate guide for the path that my work follows. My work is a constant evolution of form, color, and technique, that all starts from turning a lump of clay into a piece of use-able art. I enjoy following the traditions of traditional craft potters, while using the potters wheel and kiln to enhance each piece. Pushing the limits of form and plasticity, and pushing the kiln to its fullest potential to bring out extravagent colors, are constant sources of satisfaction to me, and are found in every piece of pottery that I create.
