The first week of January is apparently holiday time for everyone in Australia. I reached out to family and friends for dentist recommendations...nothing! Then I went onto YELP and found this place....no one has ever reviewed. :-0! Scary! So I gambled Shot the dice I was in so much pain, I just needed relief and this place was ONE BLOCK AWAY! Its across the street from the big mall here I entered into the Dr's office and I was pleasantly surprised It was modern and sleek with a friendly receptionist. I filled out the forms The Dr saw me right away (BTW: this was an emergency appointment for me!) Dr Wu, I believe, was very calm and kind.... I had my X-Rays sent to me from the USA so he could see what was going on. WoW. Good thing he took another set of X-Rays and he found the issue with a slice of my old filling slipped in between my two back teeth! Oh the pain! The dentist dived in and worked hard for 15+ minutes to remove the sliver. OMG! He successfully did! Wow I'm so pleased This was the best dentist experience I've EVER had...(I'm 54!) I'm so happy I want everyone to know!! All,of it cost $100 , I have no insurance

When we enter the waiting room we are required to turn off our mobile telephones (yes, I think it's common sense). If you are a member of HCF you can get dental check up and whitening service twice a year also once every two years you can take x-rays for free of charge. This review is for no gap dental in Wynyad…read more I had my appointment at 2.00 PM. I went there little bit early at around 1.55 and was told that all staff were on lunch break. Till 2.14 there was no one at the reception. I finally was taken to the dentist. I only had a sensitive tooth. So doctor Kishan Keshwara spent lot of time explaining me advantages of doing a full check up. I was during my lunch break, hence i have asked him to attend to my sensitive tooth on left side of my mouth. He then took two set of x-rays and said there are lot of teeth need attention and started doing two fillings. I am no medical expert, however this is what he did for the fillings, he pump air to clean up around the teeth and then applied some sort of a paste that filled the gaps and the cracks on the teeth. Whole process took less than 10 min. I was out by 2.26. The best part is then I was told two of the fillings ( item number 531 and 532) are not covered by my medical insurence. Note that I have the second best cover with CBHS. And has not used any dental for this year. So guess what the bill was $330 (all other x-rays - there were about 5 other items which they charge were covered by the fund) . I am no medical expert, however the dentist did not use any needle nor used any equipment to clean up the teeth, all that was done was putting the cream and then some sort of a light. I am very unhappy for the charges. However i will let experts decide what his procedure is acceptable or not as i am no expert. For me, never to no gap dental in Wynyard again.

I was drawn to it because of their new customer special - I believe the initial teeth cleaning is super cheap? Anyways they took care of my bf's teeth needs (mine were top notch!). We always see Seth - he's a young guy but really good. Tara H - if it was so bad why did you keep going back? If you happen to make another trip there, maybe check out Seth. He did us right by our teeth!

My health fund covers dentistry work so often there are no out of pocket expenses. Yeah!!! There are a number of dentists here and all with different mannerisms. There is always someone to see for any emergency. The best times to see the dentist is in the mid morning or early afternoon...fewer appointments made at these times. The dentistry practice is right at Ashfield Station. Leave the car at home as there is very little street parking or the parking is for a limited time. Across on the other side of the station is Brown Street underground parking which is free for 3 hours... But best of luck getting a spot during the day.

This is a bit confusing when you first come into the shop, so make sure the receptionist explains this to you when you make an appointment. The surgery is very professional, and the service is polite and private. Once you enter you will be greeted by the scary looking surgical chair, and 3 good sized computer screens. The screens play what ever you want on YouTube, so if you prefer to be distracted by your favourite album playlist, or cat videos, it's your choice - I just wish someone would request dental fails, and see Dr Sharpe & Dr Penns reaction. Overall, they bulk bill on medicare, and they're very careful and chat through the operation in layman's terms for you, as you should know exactly what they're doing.
