There is nothing about this hotel that deserves the word "Best" I have been there a few times,…read moreeach time it gets worse, but its affordable. Rooms are old and outdated, they smell bad and I always find something that was neglected by the cleaning staff. One month, I walked into my 2nd floor $110 room and noticed that there was still dust on ALL the surfaces, there was no shower curtain, the towels were still on the ground, and there was a used rag on the sink. they refused to refund me so I could go somewhere else, but they did give me another room. For lack of better options, I took it. these people make money knowing that people visit Asheville and want cheaper alternatives. I will never stay here again.

This motel is nothing to look at: older, clean, but dated decor (especially the carpet). Room has…read morerefrigerator, microwave, cable TV & Internet. I'm giving them three stars as they were a life saver last night. I was traveling with my 'grand' dog, a 130 lb Rhodesian Ridgeback. He is always a perfect & considerate dog. It started sleeting & I was exhausted, so I made the decision to stop at this exit. Being raised in the Deep South, snow & icey roads terrify me as I have no experience driving in these conditions. The Comfort Inn at this exit offers to allow pets to stay. I called from the gas station to inquire about a room for me & my dog. The manager asked the weight, I told him. He exclaimed that no dog over 40lbs were allowed to stay. He added no hotel would allow this for liability reasons. There are only two hotels at this exit (I did not know about the Americas at that time). Being exhausted combined with the icey conditions, led me to ask what was I suppose to do (I must add that at that statement I started crying). He suggested leaving the dog in the car overnight! That upset me as it was sleeting (snowing later) & freezing! He agreed that was not a good suggestion in this weather. He then suggested I drive to the Americas and ask. It took me a few minutes to arrive there. I inquired about a room & stated I had a dog. The manager said that was fine & it is a $10 charge for pet each night. Conclusion: Finn & I had a warm comfortable room for the evening. I thank the Americas for NOT asking the weight, because you can't lie about the size of an 130 lb dog! And I have to add that I think the manager of the Comfort inn called the Americas manager & told him the situation encouraging him NOT to ask me about the size. I have no proof but my gut says its so. So I want to thank the Comfort Inn manager for what I believe was his good deed of the evening.

Checking in and out, simple and easy. Parking is complimentary, and fairly convenient to the front covered entry. Four floors, with interior elevator access. The rooms are all spacious and nicely appointed. Comfortable beds and a decent shower. Coffee station with mini fridge and a microwave. Work station, Flat screen and ample storage for an extended stay. Device plug ins and usb ports in multiple locations within the room as well. The breakfast is actually better than most. Eggs a few ways, a couple breakfast meats, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, along with a variety of cereals, coffees and juices. The area is clean and organized and there is always staff on hand during that time. There are also a dozen different eateries within a short distance of this hotel that make eating dinner or lunch in the area simple, as most of them are very good. All in all, one of the better stays for the area. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the egg white omelettes at breakfast 01116

The main reason I am leaving a review is due to what occurred when I woke up the next morning. Around 8 in the morning I go to grab breakfast which has a great selection and delicious hot food. The man running the buffet truly made my day. I believe his name was Swift and was the most kind and happy face to be greeted with in the morning. If I could bring him back to my state I would hire him on the spot. I will definitely be stopping back here next time I'm in the area!!

There's plenty of stores nearby such as Walmart, Costco, Sam's Club, gas stations and more! Location definitely gets a star! No one was at the front desk and there was a sign that they were helping out another guest but they just came out from the back. It took 5+ minutes to wait and get greeted and then another 5 minutes to check in. Breakfast was superb, probably one of the better buffet breakfasts! That alone gets another star. Rooms were okay, a good size but what they didn't show was that though there's a "kitchen" area, there's no plates, dishes, cups, only a half fridge and microwave. No pots, no nothing. Something to keep in mind if you're wanting a full kitchen. Noise level was very minimal. I barely heard any outside noise! No racing cars, no loud guests walking outside our room. That deserves another star! Beds were not but also not good. My back hurt after a few days and it was hard to stay asleep. Overall, it was an okay stay. I don't know if I would return to this location if ever in the area again. It was okay, got the job done for what we needed.
