A small nature preserve that's connected to the larger Hybernia Nature Preserve by a woodchip trail. The entrance is just off of Ridge Rd., and has a tiny parking area that can only accommodate two or three vehicles. It's a nice quiet little area to chill out, and commune with nature, without having to go off-trail. Be sure to walk over to Hybernia Preserve, which is even nicer. Prairie Wolf Forest Preserve - which is only a mile around the corner on Half Day Rd. - is larger, and has more features, but I often enjoy how much more peaceful Highmoor and Hybernia are. read more
