They have a concession and ice cream vending machines. There is a slide that uses inflatable tubes and my kids said there aren't many tubes and some kids just hold onto them repeatedly. The other slide is a body slide and my kids said it was rough on their backs. The little kids area is fun and has a good amount of water things to do. Parking is easy and there is an overflow area.

The pathway takes you in a loop around the wetland, and there are also a few overlook areas as you go. Birds, fish, frogs, turtles, and more can be found, depending on the season when you visit. This is very much a hidden gem, and a must see if you enjoy wildlife!

This is a nice little park, featuring a small lake where you can look for wildlife - we spotted…read moresome turtles sunning themselves - as well as participate in some catch and release fishing. There are a few short trails around that let you explore the woods a bit. The trails are nicely mulched, although the mulch level was a bit high at the time of our visit, making it a bit challenging for the pint-sized members to wade through. We accessed the trails via the grassy area to the right when facing the lake from the parking lot near the entrance (there is a second parking lot further back, located between the restrooms and a shelterhouse with picnic tables). The trail comes to a fork, and taking the one to the right took us out to a nice viewing area for the nearby creek. We then backtracked to the fork and headed to the left, which took us along the back edge of the lake through the woods, which helped with the heat and let us look for some animals. This trail brought us to the shelterhouse and we followed the paved drive back to the front parking area. Enjoyable place for a visit!

This makes…read moreDSP a great spot if we want to go camping but want to spend more time at the state park than we do driving to get there. In addition to the full length Disc golf course that DSP has there is also a practice course. The practice course is adjacent to the campground office, to the right of the dog park area. The campground store, while small, seems well stocked with the standard things you might forget. Check out the shirts! Each Ohio State Parks has different t-shirts and Delaware SP seems to update theirs with relative frequency. We've camped a handful of times at DSP, usually in the same loop. Seems like a fair amount of the sites have low areas, it's a good idea to check out loops before booking a campsite with that in mind. Camping with an RV? The dump & fresh water fill has two lanes. There can still be a backup at times of folks waiting to dump or fill but the line moves relatively quickly. Bonus: there's a Kroger not too far from DSP.

Tried going back another time because after we finally could go in, we had a great time. Friendly families everywhere and the pool itself was nice. This time, I bought tickets ahead of time so we would not have the long wait at the entry. Pop up storms were forecast- we were cool to be in and out of the pool, and it's hard to know sometimes what the weather is doing in other parts of the city. Well, we got there with the tickets paid for this time, and it was a weather delay so we couldn't get in the water for 90 minutes at the time we left, and the delay was continued because the day ended up stormy (not originally forecast). We ended up not getting to swim. They said that since the pool was technically open, I wouldn't receive a refund. I was like, I mean the reason we are here is for the water and that part is closed. No. No refund or call back from the Parks and Rec department. I normally don't write long saga negative reviews, but it seemed like since you obviously have to buy tickets ahead of time bc of that process, they should at least have a notice on the page before you pay that the water is closed for a weather delay before you spend money that day. Total waste of $31.

The snack bar is great for cheap treats and the pool has a slide, 3 diving boards, a walk-in main pool, lap pools...there's just so much room! Our fave part are the grassy areas with huge permanent shade umbrellas. I took off one star for a couple reasons: one, the grassy areas get really wet/muddy. It's worth it for the shade, but it can be a mess if you lay towels in the grass. The other reason is that they allow a lot of water toys in the pools. I've lost count how many times I've been hit with people throwing toys/balls and have been squirted in the face with super soakers. Honestly, I wish throwing balls wasn't allowed at all.

Contrary to what is stated this park is not closed!!! I just spent about an hour there just walking…read morethe trails which are very nicely maintained. You can walk, run or bike just watch out for the walnuts and wet leaves in the fall. Besides very well maintained pathways there's a lot of nature. For you bird lovers this is amazing place to watch birds. Bring the kids and the dogs! There's a log cabin which you can't get into but is fun to look at and read a little about it's history. There are several bridges over clean streams. Another fantastic local park for photographers from beginners to professionals to take some amazing pictures. Other people whom I encountered along the way were friendly and kind. It made for a lovely walk!

This is a pretty area with some great paved walking paths to wander around on. There are picnic…read moretables and a nice garden space near the parking lot, and you can follow the trail back from there into the woods. One section will take you past the historic Fleming cabin with an interpretative sign. There is a very nice newly replaced boardwalk/pier at the pond, which offers some seating and picnic tables, and lets you enjoy the view. The water is a bit low right now - I'm not sure if they have a way to manipulate the depth that was adjusted while the pier was being rebuilt, or if it just happens to be low right now. If you go all the way out to the bench area, you can still get a nice view of the filled up portion of the pond, however. Vernal pools also appear throughout the year. A nice place to take a walk or go for a jog!
