I had some trigger work done on one of my rifles and the barrel threaded for a suppressor. Expert craftsmanship on both jobs!

Ever been in a situation where a friend invites you to go with him on an errand and it turns out…read morethat you were invited into another world? We drove over two hours to Target Shotguns. The errand was too fix one of our electronics for our Charlotte Rifle and Pistol Club range. Bob Schultz, owner, is a well known expert in this area and our guys were stumped on what the problem was. Bob took the electronics and my friend and I went upstairs to look at their shotgun inventory. I was blown away! There were around 100 of the most expensive, most upscale and fanciest shotguns that I have ever seen. I have been shotgunning for about 10 years shooting trap, skeet and sporting clays, own shotguns that cost me less than $1000 along with others who maybe own a Krieghoff that goes for over $10,000. Some of the Target Shotguns went for over $30,000 and I had never heard of the majority of the manufacturers. And they were beautiful in so many ways. The stocks were made from beautifully grained woods. And they were custom fitted for left or right handers. The engraving was intricate in gold and silver. And the quality of the barrels, which must be capable of firing hundreds of thousands of shells over their useful lifetimes, carried guarantees and many studies support barrels lasting over two million shells fired. These are guns that are inherited over generations. Wow! Matt Gibbs, gave us the tour and explained the features and differences of the various guns. He truly is an expert on shotguns, but is also a known shotgun competitor. And a very nice guy. Target Shotguns does repairs and customizations, selling to worldwide clientele. What an experience. it is not a tourist spot, but if you are a shotgunner and going to be in the Hendersonville area, call and see if you can check out the guns. I am so glad that my friend thought to take me along for company.

After a few weeks I called on the status and was told I would get a call back by noon of that day with an update. No call. I called them and I was told that the part would be ready to go the following week on Tuesday. I called Tuesday morning at 10:50 AM; the part was supposed to be ready and I was told the part was not ready. I was not given a new time. I told the customer service representative that I needed to talk to the gunsmith. After a 3 minute wait, the store owner got on the phone and explained his gunsmith quit and when I pressed him about my part, he looked around and it was obvious it was the first time he looked at it since he signed it into his store inventory 3 weeks prior. The owner gave me some sort of BS response and said he would get to it. I told him I needed a time/date it would be ready. It is supposed to be ready tomorrow. We will see. The owner did say that he could not get to it today and if I wanted to take somewhere else I could. That was very nice of the owner to make that offer considering he held my firearm part for 3 weeks to allow it to collect dust and be forgotten. This so far has been one of the most unprofessional businesses I have ever had the unfortunate luck to experience in Hendersonville, NC. I was lied too on several occasions and there was zero follow-up with the customer. If you have a gunsmith need, I would highly suggest taking your business to another company.
