I solemnly swear to visit the Las Vegas Farmer's Market at Bruce Trent Park every Wednesday (if…read moreonly to get my Ruse Vegan Kitchen fix). This small farmer's market is open 2-8PM. While visiting in the midst of summer is mind numbingly hot, the market makes the heat (more or less) tolerable because the vendors are all arranged in the shade. Produce wise, there were 2 vendors. The first had maybe 5 tables full of veggies and fruits. The second vendor was smaller and only sold cherries, strawberries and grapes. If you're looking for nuts, there's plenty of that here too. I picked up 2 bags of pistachios, 1 container of spicy corn nuts, and 2 bags of dried fruit for $20. Besides Ruse Vegan Kitchen, there was a Crawfish place where we grabbed some fries ($4) and canned sodas. The Art Coffee Bus was also in attendance along with 2 other food trucks. The Las Vegas Farmer's Market at Bruce Trent Park may not be the biggest market in town, but it's worth a visit if you live nearby. YELP'S 2018 REVIEW CHALLENGE: #18

After shopping you can visit the animal farm ($10.00 entrance fee), located in the rear of the market. There you'll find an array of animals from Cows, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, goats, llamas and much more. There are over 100 animals on site and food is available for purchase should you want to feed them. This is a fantastic family day outing and a place that children will enjoy. A word of caution, you are walking on dirt and some animals do run freely around the market, so, I wouldn't wear shoes you don't want to get dirty.

I would never normally complain about my favorite store of all time, but this time I have to make an exception. Nelly and Aide from the deli counter treated me with mocking looks and in a way that was truly unacceptable. I'm very disappointed that I had to experience this at the store I love the most. I sincerely hope this never happens to me again.

There were only a handful of vendors, which was probably due to the extreme heat that day, but there was still a nice variety to browse at. There is very limited street parking (i don't know if that is free or not). There was a security person walking around the parking garage that I noticed, as I was walking to the elevators. The Market was nice. I found a few new-to-me vendors that I have not seen at other Farmers Markets I've been to in the city. A pottery vendor I liked a lot was Roots of Mexico. IMO, their prices were reasonable for what interested me, and I really admire the pottery craftsmanship and designs. I would be more interested in returning to UnCommons and this Farmers Market if the parking was free (no time limit or longer time) and/ or the Farmers Market was larger and offered more variety. Oddly, I don't recall seeing any produce stands among the vendors when I was there. It was nice and there is room for growth IMO with both the Farmers Market and UnCommons.
