Unfortunately I didn't get any pics it was down pouring like crazy but they have a HUGE! Selection of annuals, perennials, trees, veggie plants and probably more. They also have two cats that were very friendly. Employee at the cash register was very helpful and friendly. read more

We bought a $179.00 Korean fur tree. It died within a month of planting. We removed the tree and at that point the root ball dirt fell off only to notice there were hardly any roots. They do not honor full refunds only half of what we paid for it. Management is just nasty about it. We Will never ever purchase from Highland Gardens again. read more

This place is like a plant lovers dream come true. As a novice to gardening this place is amazing. There is such a wide variety of plants, herbs, shrubs, trees, decorative grass (who knew there was such a thing) and flowers. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. My sister and I spent an out talking to one staff member who listened to all the things we were hoping to do and she gave us some great recommendations. Pointed us in the right direction of the plants we were looking for and even gave us so much useful information. I could go back every weekend to learn more from the staff here or just ready a book on one of the shaded benches underneath the trees. read more

We bought a tree there $200 it was ok condition not the best took it home and after a short while it died ... We called the owner he said we will reimbursed you for the tree. I said well we're not gonna make it over there anytime soon. He said that's OK when you come over bring your receipt with you. We went over about two months later he would not honor it gave us a hard time secretly whispered to a worker there over the phone which I overheard and he said he's not gonna do it for us. They really pissed me off, but he ended us given half back. I don't really endorse them and I will never go there again. I only ever went there once for a long time I thought about going there, but still for a Kissel Hill has everything that they have if not more and you're cheaper. He gave me a hard time and when he called me, then he said one of his worker said I put them down. I swore at him or something. I said I never swore at them for anything. I knew every word I said, and I told him. He kept wanting to believe his associates that work for him, which this was not true. They gave me and my spouse a hard time. The people were rude as hell to us, even when we went and bought other trees with the money they gave us back for. Anyhow, they gave us half the money back, but I would never buy there again the trees, outback or not in the greatest shape I see some of them hit blight and some other diseases going on. I told this one worker there. I think it was the husband of the guy that I had in a place. I'm not sure but I believe so. He also gave us a little bit of a hard time, even though he didn't even know us. Then someone that worked there told us that next-door to him. They owned a building, but sold it to these lawyers, and the lawyers got into a big scuff with the owner. What about I don't know which really isn't my business but that gave me an idea why that this man was rude to us and would not reimburse us for the full amount of the tree that we bought off of them, which was almost $200. As I searched around everything that they sell there, they sell at Stauffers of Kissel Hill and sure enough they do in a lot better attitudes and their stuff is cheaper and of quality and they guarantee all their stuff for a year. I would never ever put something like this on here, but this just made me feel sick at the stomach with this place in this man that owned it I don't know if it was his husband to talk to us too rudely but either way they were both rude to us and so with some of the women that work there, then they turned around and lied about us to him saying that he said things to him when we didn't. Far as I'm concerned, it is nothing but a lowlife hole in the wall, nursery and charging way too much money for too much money.....Just way way way too expensive. I don't care how close it is to somebody's house. I would travel other places and go look because there is far much better and cheaper places out there than Highland Gardens. read more

We had a wonderful shopping experience this time! The staff were very helpful and friendly! Our only complaint was those God awful walkie- talkies that keep going off with loud screeching noises every time we went by an employee! Surly there must be a quieter and more efficient way for the staff to communicate with each other! read more

I took back a shrub that died and I was treated like a criminal. First, just because I returned it in a container that was from Lowe's they claimed that it wasn't their shrub. Then they claimed it was not the plant I bought from them even though I had a valid receipt. Next they claimed the warranty had expired, even though I clearly returned it within their written warranty period. I shop there frequently because they have nice product but was angry how I was treated and will not return. Additionally, their warranty policy for shrubs is 50% credit for 6 months which is much more restrictive than their main competitor, Stauffer's, which is full credit for one year. read more

Stumbled on to them when a few other Stihl dealers couldn't service my saw. Jon was on it and did a great job getting the saw fixed, went the extra mile and pointed out some obscure 'issues' he caught while servicing the saw. Was impressed enough to come back and purchase an MS-361 and accessories that Jon recommended after he listened carefully to my situation. VERY IMPRESSED by the Customer Service, Competence and willingness to go the extra mile! They've got a customer for life now...thanks to Jon! read more

Well I have to say that, in my opinion, the current,and last visit, of 5/7/20 resulted in my decision to buy elsewhere. Their pricing is high and their quality is about equal to other greenhouses within a 15 mile radius but their arrogance and rude behavior is remarkable in its baseness. Four associates all sharing the same attitude when asked for asistance or directions is not an individual issue,but rather a behavior of perhaps believing they are the only game in town and not exhibiting enough customer respect,at least to me.. Plenty of house plants , outside landscape, trees, shrubbery and perennials and annuals as well gardening merchandise that catalogues offer. They have many unique things for your gardens and a great variety of plants,trees,flowers,vines, & an assortment of mulches, top soils and hardscape products at compairable prices. We are so happy with the service Highland Gardens provided to us as we tried to arrange for a delivery (we were calling from TX) for tomato plants to be sent to our elderly parents living in Camp Hill. For Harrisburg Highland Gardens has a great selection. The signage helps, especially for hummer plants. The tree selection is very good. I shop here every spring and although I can't afford everything, the selection is very good. read more

We have had times when staff were willing to answer questions and provide assistance, and other times when they were somewhat unfriendly and borderline insulting. Great little nursery with an awesome selection. They've got just about everything you could posibly need. Wonderful selection of perennials and some really cool evergreens. Even some less common trees. Prices are very fair. I don't live close but go out of my way to visit just to see what they've got and get ideas. They also have hardscape, mulch and other materials for major projects. Helpful staff, although with the broad range of plants, sometimes the info you get is somewhat generic. read more
