OMG, why haven"t I tried Canyoneering before?! What an amazing day at Kawasan falls. If you are…read moreeven slightly adventurous, I highly recommend joining one of the outfitters on a canyonerring adventure to trek through the series of three falls. Canyoneering involves hiking, jumping, scrambling, and diving. Our trip took slightly over four hours. I do not advise doing it alone as the guides not only know the best routes, but they are there to assist you as you go through the series of falls. At one jump I actually lost a shoe and one of them retrieved it. Also, there was a landslide the week before where they rerouted. I think it's best you join an outditter, which will also provide you with safety gear. If you choose to do only some scenic shots, there is an admittance/ ecological fee. The waters, unique color comes from the limestone, which gives it that Gatorade color-effect. Along the route, you will encounter a few barbecue and food stations. Surprisingly, the rocks were not that slippery. Even though this can get crowded with tourists, I am amazed at how clean the forest and water were. One of my most memorable days in the Philippines so far.

Whether it be climbing, riding or zip lining, CHAP has it all for you adventure seekers. CHAP was…read morethe first stop of the day and they offered many different adventure packages depending on your interests. We were told "The Rush" Bike Zipline would only take 7 minutes but they did not account for the trek up to the deck. Not going to lie, the never ending steps were torture but the views, of the chocolate hills, at the top were amazing. You are asked to sign a waiver and then briskly taken through a safety demo. The staff will then fit you with a harness, hair net and helmet. If you have personal belongings, you can store them in the key lock storage lockers before you're suited and booted. Once you're suited for zip lining, you will walk up 3 short flights of stairs to get to the lines. The experience was such a rush of adrenaline I almost forgot to look at the view! You get to go twice, to and from the starting point, on the bike. Before you finish, there is a photographer who will snap a few shots and even ask you to hold you hands out, completely letting go of the bike. Once you collect your belongings, you have the option of buying printed pictures but if you have an Android, they will upload all your pictures via their desktop USB. Total time it took for 3 people from start to finish: Just shy of 2 hours.

What a fun way to get a workout in! My friends and I got the 'Love Rush' package since we were four…read morepeople. The package includes 4 different rope courses, and either the surfer ride or the bike ride. The package also comes with a photographer with a few print-outs for free and the rest you can get from their computer if you have an Android (or bring an SD card). The cost? 2000 pesos (about $20/person). Not bad, I know. They have lockers to store your stuff. There's also a gift shop that sells cute monkey shirts; I bought one for my baby sister and she liked it! The rope course was challenging enough to get a sweat and ended in a mini zip line. You then proceed up what feels like 100 stairs to the large biplane and get geared up for your ride! Make sure you get there at a good time for good pictures!
