Now in our tenth year, little has changed besides the tablecloths. You can expect friendly service, cheap main courses, decent menu covering all the classics and a free 1/3 shot of Baileys (or generic brand) Irish cream when you're done. It's bring your own booze which adds to the value for money (News and Booze just up the street or the garage across the road should have you covered) and seems to stay open reasonably late. For me this is a standard cheap curry house done well. I love it.

Valentines night I had my usual stuffed mushroom starter and my partner had mixed tandoori girl. Both dishes were tasty served with fresh salad For main he had a combination dish chicken and lamb. I don't recall names but he wolfed it down along with lemon chilli rice and chips. I had talapia fish, with mushroom rice and a bullet nan. My fish portion was huge cooked to perfection in a fragrant delicate sauce. The bullet nan hit the spot with fresh chopped chilli and garlic The bill came with complementary after 8 mint and a shot of something similar to baileys. An altogether very enjoyable meal with attentive staff happy to pamper to our every need. Would recommend if your ever in town have a meal here.

I tried this chippy in the early days and the quality of food was rubbish and service was aweful. But now i recently had a chance of trying this place again and i got to say that what a great change... this new management has really transformed this chippy place into one tasty Halal fast food and most importantly the price is still a great bargain. All the stuff are fresh and cooked in daily basis. They have all the usual selection of fast food items. The staff is young and energetic and really they have given life to this place.. this is the only good chippy place in my area for now apart from the big names...

Service 5/5 The staff are always really polite and very helpful. very fast and service with a smile. Atmosphere 4/5 Never met any drunks or idiots here while waiting for food, which is a bonus Value 5/5 Consistently good food and friendly staff. Although I would probably give this place a 4/5, I'm giving it a 5 to balance the other review of this place which refers to a place I just don't recognise.

Arriving home at a late hour to find no food in the fridge meant I either headed back into Harborne (if the shops were still open), or I ate from the Court Oak Garden. I was particularly partial to their Chicken Curry, and even now I still get cravings for it. These days, when such a craving hits, I have to drive 20 minutes to get here. In honesty it's probably not that great a Chinese place, and I could probably find a comparable one nearer me, but I keep returning and probably always will!
