The Nursery is expansive with a range of trees, shrubs, grasses, flowers, fruit trees and some vegetables up for grabs. The plants on offer are at various stages of growth many are ready to go and already established and more are just waiting for full maturity. The staff in the Nursery are exceptional. All have a huge bank of knowledge and can show you a great range of plants suited to your region and needs and most of the plants are drought tolerant and attract native wildlife (all super important in my books!). The staff also are great with first time gardeners and will talk you through how to prepare the ground, what to use, how to compost, what tools you need, where to plant etc. The price is also pretty reasonable. I've turned to buying here for all of my plants as other big chain stores are just too expensive and the plants are poor quality and wilt away within the month (I'm looking at you Bunnings!). Definitely worth a visit, I send everyone here!

It's a difficult store to walk past, what with the beautiful shimmery window displays and the pink plastic flamingos in the box outside (have I mentioned I'm a sucker for pink flamingo lawn ornaments?). I moseyed on in there not so long ago to get some birthday flowers for a girlfriend of mine and it was like walking inside to an outside floral fantasy forest; there was an orange Christmas tree! No I wasn't on acid. There is a nice variety of flowers available and the florist put a lovely arrangement of blue orchids together for me along with a gift card to match! Call me lazy but my hand writing is pretty awful so it was nice when she offered to write in the card for me with her fancy calligraphy. This shop has both real flowers and 'I cant believe they're not real' flowers. The range from modern to elegant to cottage style is nicely combined but I'm still undecided on the unconventional orange Christmas tree...

Both staff I talked to were really quite unpleasant and unwilling to have a sale.

In such a small shopping precinct My Kitchen rules as a stand alone kitchen ware store supplying the local community. Why bother travelling to mammoth shopping centres, pushing and shoving your way through the throngs of people and giving hard earned dollars to mass marketed chattels, instead support your local community and get to know the locals. The prices are reasonable, the staff are friendly and helpful plus offer to buy items in specially if they don't happen to have them in stock. Located in what was once considered an outer suburban dare I say 'country town', it has transformed judging by the growing number of quality housing estates popping up and thriving population. There will certainly be no shortage of demand to fill new kitchens with the latest gadgets and everything in between to fill the gaps. Also, not forgeting that last minute gift this place has an excellent range to choose from, a little something to give and not show up empty handed. My Kitchen has rescued me many times in the past and it's a good excuse to go there and pick up something for me too!

It has a decent range of supplies and offers a wide range of services, however I still feel as though Bunnings offers both more range and bang for your buck. The store is set out neatly with aisles that have different products to suit your home project needs, however getting staff advice can be occasionally difficult. The last time I went though, the staff seemed more friendly and polite than usual with quite large smiles on their faces. Gas bottle refills for $20 are probably the main reason why I come here as I do like doing a bit of barbecuing. The gardening section is also rather nice, however I still like Bunnings more for some of the quality of the plants and flowers. Screws and bolts are well priced here with a decent range too and if I ever need timber or wood, I would definitely consider coming here. Overall, a decent hardware store. Depends really on what you want as to whether this is the right store for you however for me, Bunnings is probably a better choice for most home projects.

Based along the same lines as Howard's Storage, except it's one of a kind and not a chain. I have to be honest and say they're not cheap and that too depends on what you need for where. For example I bought a two level spice rack for $40, crazy but true only because there was nothing else around and short of using two planks of wood in the pantry..there was nothing else available to buy anywhere else. It's a corner shop with several levels as it is on the hilly side of the road but every area has something for the purpose of storage. There's also a baragin section which is worth checking out as some items are up to half price. They stock what seems to be the entire range of Elfa storage systems and this is definitely not cheap but will last a life time. Internal storage systems are not designed to be pretty as they're not exposed to be seen all the time, so looks are not necessary only the function. Well worth a look as they have it all covered.

We found him a a little hard to understand, but he knew his business. He was friendly and helpful, able to make good suggestions, yet listening to what (we thought) we needed. We accepted his quote which I thought was quite reasonable. Two weeks later he returned, exactly as arranged, and quickly installed the drawers. We are thrilled with the outcome. The drawers slide easily, and each drawer comes with a little wheel on the door side so that the door doesn't get marked. Ingenious! We paid by credit card, and there is some funny business about a receipt having to be returned by Australia Post a week later. This aspect of the business could be improved. However, we are delighted with this transaction, and would unreservedly recommend the Storage Shop for this type of installation.

When they sell out, that's it. Home made pies and pasties are also available for dining in or taking away. There are books if you would like to escape into another world. I put this down to be located next to a massive Coles supermarket and the impossibility of competing with a juggernaut. This a place to pick up locally grown and made jams, dips, soaps, crackers, honey and yoghurt. They also stock a heap of economically and ecologically friendly swag, like organic cleaning products, fair trade coffee and string bags. I particularly like that they stock traditionally Aboriginal bush tucker like lemon myrtle and muntries. I'd never seen bush tucker in a store before i visited this place. On top of all that, these guys run a wonderfully affordable cafe. The menu is mostly baguettes and focaccias but nothing's over $10, it's plentiful and it's fresh. If only their location wasn't next to a massive carpark, they might be able to expand and set up a proper dining room for their cafe. Regardless, this shop is well worth a look!
