This is by far the best tattoo shop I've been to. I was tattooed by Bryan and he was great! The shop is very clean, the tattooers are honest, and the pricing is reasonable. Everyone was welcoming and we had a great time while I was getting tattooed. Communication was through email and they took everything I requested into consideration as well as working with my schedule to get me in for the tattoo. The tattoo itself turned out perfect! Exactly what I wanted. Bryan was very gentle and I wasn't stressed out at all during the whole visit. I definitely recommend and I will be returning for my next tattoo! read more

I got my first tattoo here and I'm sad to say it'll also be my last. I won't ever get another tattoo after my experience with this shop. The only reason I'm rating them this high is because my artist (Amanda) tried to help me after I expressed my dissatisfaction. She really is a great girl and I like her a lot, but I wasn't at all happy with the finished product. For starters, I didn't really get a good look at the tattoo in the shop, as I wasn't provided a mirror and only got a backwards glimpse of it in my cell phone camera. It wasn't until I got home and checked it out up-close and snapped some pictures that I noticed the imperfections. There are two letter a's in the phrase and they both look COMPLETELY different. Not even similar- they look like completely different fonts. Also, not all of the lines in my lettering were straight. The first half of the tattoo looks pretty good, but the end is shaky-looking. I included that I was extremely concerned with precision when I emailed the shop to find an artist, which is one of the reasons I'm so upset about the finished product. When I asked for a touch up the very next day (because I wasn't going to wait to express concerns about my first tattoo!) I was met with slight hostility. Not from Amanda, who tried to be understanding, but some other random artist who I'm pretty sure is named Jordan. I called ahead to voice my concerns and Amanda told me to come in and show her what was bothering me about it. After I got there and started pointing out the *very obvious differences in the letter a's, the Jordan guy walked up to us and started making snide comments like 'that's not even worth a touch up,' and 'It looks fine to me' (as if he's the one who has to look at it for the rest of his life). He had nothing to do with my tattoo so I'm not sure why he felt like his input was necessary. Amanda did listen to me and was, again, somewhat understanding, but basically tried to talk me down and said that I was over-analyzing it because it was my first tattoo and that nobody else would notice those "small imperfections". She did agree with me in regard to the a's looking different, but tried to chalk it up to how the tattoo was done laying down and it looked different because I was standing up, the way my boob curvature was, etc. Which is kind of a 'DUH'- but Im pretty sure that tattoo artists are supposed to account for those factors before they do the tattoo. Even though I wasn't feeling the best after this consultation (ESPECIALLY after being scolded by an outside artist) I still asked to get it touched up and Amanda approved because she wanted me to be happy with it. I made an appointment for 2.5 weeks later but cancelled because of personal reasons. Besides, it can't be fixed without thickening up the whole tattoo and the last letter 'a' is beyond repair. My tattoo is just ok, but I don't love it and never will. I can't even explain how disappointed I am to write this review, but I couldn't brush it off because this place completely ruined tattoos for me. My experience here was nothing but stressful and I'm so upset that my first (and now only) tattoo didn't even come close to my expectations. And for those out there who think I'm being too picky, you're damn right! This is a TATTOO- It's going to be on my body for the remainder of my life, and I'm going to have to look at it on a daily basis. I'll take my L when McDonalds gets my order wrong, but I've always believed that that a tattoo is the last thing you should skimp or settle on. Aside from the tattoo itself- no one deserves to be berated for wanting a touch up on something that will arguably be one of the most permanent things in your life. I didn't go back there acting crazy, rude or derogatory of Amanda's work- I only expressed my concerns and was met with indifference and inconsideration. I definitely won't be back or recommend this place to anybody who wants a precise tattoo. read more

Walked in for a Fleur de lis on my shoulder, and very happy with the outcome. Bryan helped me narrow down my (many) reference photos to what I was really looking for and came out with a beautiful unique design. Placed it perfectly on my shoulder first try. I love the shading detail especially on the center part. Everything was clean, hygienic, focused, professional. Would return for more work if I were looking for it and in the area. read more

High Resolution Tattoo - I love the two dot details at the top, the shading on the center part and the leafy bits at the bottom. - Tattoo Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

I will give this place one star for many reasons. I've had one tattoo done by them and the customer service was horrible. It was a quote I wanted on my arm, not hard to do, and they were unable to make any accommodations to my design. They would not decrease the sizing of the font to fit my arm how I would like. I just went with it and got the tattoo anyways. A couple months went by and I wanted another tattoo. I picked out the exact design I wanted and the placement of it before I went. I had a horrible experience. I waited over an hour to have a consultation and then when they asked what I wanted...all they said was "oh no. I can't do that". And continued to show me what they could do...which was simplify the design about 90%. I left immediately...called Capital City Tattoo, made an appointment, and the tattoo artist there had no problems resizing and adjusting the tattoo design. She had no problem fitting all of the detail into my design. The people at High Resolution are lazy, untalented, and do not care what the customers want. This is the tattoo I eventually received from CAPITAL CITY TATTOO compared to what High Res was willing to do. read more

High Resolution Tattoo - Tattoo done by Markus Bankhead - Tattoo Near Me - Baton Rouge, Louisiana

High Resolution is a pristine and clean facility which is obviously important for sanitation and health. I saw Callie Marie for my watercolor tattoo (see pictures) and she did an outstanding job! All my friends and many colleagues raved about her skills, and after stalking her work on Instagram (@callie_cattoo), I just HAD to book with her. She did my brothers dotwork tattoo as well. I am thoroughly impressed and trusted her artistic judgement completely, and she worked with me on the design esthetic after sending her some inspiration. Cannot wait to go back to her to finish up some work and get more ink done. She was meticulous at preparing all the equipment and asking me every 15 mins or so how I was feeling and letting me adjust myself for comfort. She's pure talent. Wish I could get in a lot sooner for my next session though since I am very eager to get make work done, but she's worth waiting for. I even got my hair done today and showed a stylist in the salon and she said "wow that must be callie's work!" You go girl. Love high resolution, and I love Callie's raw talent and abstract esthetic. read more

High resolution has exceeded my expectations. The cleanliness, professionalism, and work has been unparalleled. My experience and the connection with the artist, Jordan Cain, has been incredible. His passion for art and is dedicated to make his customers happy is obvious and not taken lightly. Expect him to be upfront, honest, and a "keep it real" attitude. Dope group of people over there , Chris S. did some work on me. Very Clean Place also

Man I went in today just to get some prices, get a vibe, and to see about getting a tattoo on my arm which was the eye of providence(it's literally a triangle with an eye in the middle) and I told the guy I didn't want it to be that big. When I approached the counter to ask some questions the first thing I asked about was pricing. The guy who was the clerk or whatever his position was said "I don't know a couple hundred", pretty vague but whatever. I later said what about like 2 hours or so and this asshole literally looked me in my face and said "Are u a professional tattoo artist" like no shit I'm not a tattoo artist. He later said "because I'm fucking not" and to be honest after that I couldn't even tell u what he said because the vibe was completely thrown off and I just wanted to leave but I had someone with me and he had questions about getting a piece done as well. Mind you I told the guy I didn't want it that big, showed him where and how big I wanted it and it's such a simple tattoo. Instead of just telling me generally how much they charged per hour like when I went to other shops to get work done he just was rude so I said alright fine. I went to black torch tattoos (less than a mile down the road) to get my work done and the guy there was EXTREMYLY helpful and asked me questions about the tattoo and was really friendly. Don't waste your time with these clowns. There is just a way to talk to people and I guess this guy never learned that. Oh yeah before I forget, got the work done and it took literally less than an hour. Guess I didn't need to be a professional to have a little bit of sense read more
