Fast forward to 2025, age 67. I need my right side repaired. I found Dr. Dupree who is skilled at robotic surgery. It's comforting to hear the words from the surgeon "I can take care of this". The entire procedure was more complex as it required general anesthesia, however, the recovery time was much faster (and I'm much older). What I like about Dr. Dupree is his confidence and experience. No need to go to a specialized hospital in a big city. Riverview Medical Center is small and accessible.

I've had a fair amount of experience with various medical professionals and their staff and I was kind of dreading this appointment. The staff was very nice and accommodating and were forthcoming about running behind with appointments. Once I met with the doctor I was amazed by the fact that he didn't push for surgery. He was very honest with me and told me what I could do to try to remedy the situation. He told me that if I followed his suggestions he most likely would never need to see me again. It was a truly refreshing experience! I also want to add that there was a patient in there angling for a note regarding his surgery and pushing them to have the doctor write it for much longer than he would need off. They were polite but firm that that would be considered fraud and they would have no part in it. Bummer for the guy but made me respect the office even more. While I hope I don't need a surgical repair for my issue (because I do plan on following doctor's orders!), if I do I plan on going back to Dr. Tsioulias.

Before I arrived, she called to say the doctor was running 30 minutes late and moved my appointment from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. However, when I arrived at 6:00 p.m., there were at least 12 people waiting ahead of me in the waiting room! Clearly, the doctor was much more than 30 minutes behind schedule. I decided to reschedule rather than wait for what could have been hours. I found this extremely disrespectful of patients' time. It is unprofessional to schedule so many patients, move appointments due to delays, and still have a waiting room packed with people. The entire experience was poorly organized and frustrating.

Dr Kammerer is punctual, greets you in the waiting room, spends ample time asking and answering questions, assessing, reviewing medical records, and setting up next steps. My patient path took me to many doctors before I met him and he is the best of the best. He is extremely knowledgeable yet explains things in easy to understand language. He demonstrates careful decision making and wisdom when formulating a plan following protocol for my specific condition. He wanted me to pay him $1,200 prior to surgery - cash or personal check. I didn't owe that much on my deductible. He said if I didn't agree with the payment/office policy I could go elsewhere. Definitely, very distasteful way of convincing me he had my best interest at heart.  Now, I'll search for a surgeon, someone more welcoming .  I came in with gallstones and now I have to wait another 2 months before I can get some help. He overcharges his patients and can care less about your overall health. The experience was not pleasant and it's clear he was not a bit concerned about my well being; not to mention he charged me $200.00 for the initial visit. I will report him to the dept of health & my insurance co. Thank you,

Then proceeded to have me wait 2 hours to see the doctor. Patients that came in after me were seen before me. I watched someone come out say a room was open and the girls at the desk picked the charts up and went " ummm, let's do this one." THEY DO NOT FOLLOW THE SCHEDULE. After an hour and forty-five minutes I got vocal. The receptionist with the long hair past her butt told me that I didn't matter (not in those words) that pt came in that were here for follow ups from surgery and that they come first. Not sure what the point of making an appointment is when they just bypass you. I ended up seeing a different dr then who I wasn't scheduled with. Dr Youssef was very knowledgeable and very apologetic. After I was done, I went to check out and that same girl at reception was very rude. When I asked if I needed to do anything to check out, she rudely went " well did he tell you needed anything." if I didn't need surgery and this team was involved, I would have walked out.
