Over the weekend, I severely sprained one ankle and thought that I broke the toe on my other foot. I have 2 young toddlers running around and cannot walk. Also, I am currently 36 wks pregnant (and NJ is still in partial shutdown with Covid) and cannot risk going to the hospital or walk-in for x-rays. Dr. Adler got my message and promptly replied and saw us first thing Monday morning. His office is fully equipped with a super easy x-ray machine that allowed him to see the results asap. He did a thorough exam of both feet, assessed my situation and explained everything in simple, layman's terms so that I was on the same page with him. He also laid out the immediate treatment plans as well as the follow-up treatment that I will need due to the severity of my situation and I know that I am in great, trustworthy hands. During the visit, I even mentioned to husband that he should make an appointment asap for his Plantar Fasciitis. Just a rundown; Dr. Adler has a wonderful, kind and courteous bedside manner. He is extremely thorough, knowledgeable and approachable. He answers questions and treats the patient like a real person and not a dr. that is simply using medical terminology for the sake of showing off their knowledge. His staff is very knowledgeable, efficient and very courteous, just as he is. I checked in, had x-rays done, had a thorough exam, was given the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan, had my foot wrapped and booted all within an hr. but never felt rushed or unattended to...this was a great experience! The office is super clean and following strict Covid guidelines; I was the only patient seen at the time. All chairs turned to the wall to limit surface contact. All staff wore masks and patients are required to wear masks. Antibacterial dispenser was on the check-in station ready to go. Everything is very clean, orderly and compliant to the guidelines and patient safety. My family are definitely Dr. Adler patients from here on in and I have already recommended the practice to several friends.

He looked at his foot quickly and said this may just be something he needs to get used too. Mind you no tests such as an ultrasound or mri were done. He seemed to be more concerned about the fact that his face shield turned and that he kicked the chair. It's sad that doctors don't want to treat special needs kids the same way they do every one else. My son understands everything and as his mom I want him to be pain free and not have to live with a painful foot problem.

Dr Plotka prescribed prednisone and suggested changes to my orthotics which I agreed to. The thought was to have the corrected orthotics returned by Christmas. Christmas passed then New Years and still the orthotics were not available and there was no communication with Dr. Plotka or his office staff. After multiple calls to the office, the orthotics finally arrived in mid January. To my dismay, the orthotics were completely wrong. The right foot did not have the correct modification and the left, which was fine when sent out with the right, was terribly distorted. I brought them back. Dr Plotka had to send them back for the correct modification. Two weeks later, I picked them up and they were fine. However, when I received my Medicare statement, Dr Plotka charged Medicare again for the second and correct modification. I questioned the second charge with Dr Plotka. He explained that he had to complete paperwork and drive the orthotics to the post office for mailing to the orthotics company. I have worn orthotics for more than 30 years, had them modified on other occasions and have never experienced so many problems. If they had been correctly modified the first time, a second time would not have been needed...a second charge to my insurance. He should absorbed this an unfortunate failure and not charged the insurance company a second time. I will not return to this office or recommend Dr Plotka .

When I explained the pain I was having, he then said to come in that day at 5 pm ,and that he would reopen office to take care of my foot issue. Dr Meier was both friendly, and knowledgeable, and took care of my pain issue right away. Dr Meier is a rarity in days where most doctors will make you wait. So glad I called his office, and anyone reading this should do the same!

I didn't even have to sit to wait the pleasant receptionist asked for my ID and Insurance cards. Then she showed me to the exam room. I waited a mere 5 minutes when Dr. Connors walked in. He introduced himself with a great smile and an energetic handshake. I felt comfortable with him immediately. He examined my foot, then he took 3 X-Rays. After going over each X-Ray with me, he suggested an MRI would be helpful. He gave me a script for the MRI. We had a brief light discussion, then I left. I wish more Doctors had this Doctor's attitude and personality.

I had 2 very bad results allowing Dr. Connors to perform surgery on my foot. The expected plan,…read morethat we discussed at length was to perform two surgeries one on the peroneal tendon, and the other on the mid foot. During the recovery I found out he only performed one of the two procedures. He convinced me post surgery that it did not matter, and that was the way he would do it again. And so I proceeded with a second surgery with him. When I returned with an appointment about 9 months later it was unbearable to walk and I knew something was wrong. In the back examination room he made me wait for 2 hours attending to other patients. He came in and told me nothing was wrong and go to pain management. As it turns out his peroneal tendon was not corrected done and I had the tendon reattached elsewhere by a NYC orthopedic surgeon. Then I had a 2nd surgery on a loose tendon to the cuboid bone. Dr. Trotter who use to work with Connors but left years ago, told me in private that the cuboid tendon snapped because of the mid foot was not repaired in a timely manner.
