Before the wedding, many of our guests had trouble booking their rooms. They were transferred to third-party reservation agents who did not know about our wedding room block or the discounted rate. Some guests were treated rudely, while others never received the rate they were promised, even after we contacted the hotel several times. Our own stay was just as disappointing. Some guests received breakfast vouchers while others did not. There were complaints about bad odors in rooms, a dirty pool area, and times when no staff was available at the front desk to help. The biggest disappointment was our room. We were told the hotel renovations would be finished before our wedding, but they were not. Our Junior Suite was dirty, had a strong odor, and was not acceptable for a wedding weekend. We were moved to another room, but it was not the suite we had reserved. Later, the air conditioning stopped working, and again, no one was available to help. We invested thousands of dollars into our wedding at this hotel, and our guests booked around 15 rooms. We expected professionalism, good communication, and better customer service. Instead, we were left disappointed. Even more frustrating, hotel management has stopped responding to us, so we had no choice but to contact the corporate office. We have photos and messages from our guests that document everything we experienced.

Thanks to the front desk lady in dayshift she was very attentive regarding the situation. The mini fridge wasn't cold. The phone was from back in the 80s and yellowing. The new room we got was nice and clean. The downside was there was no conditioner in the shower bottles. Big new tv,lots of charging ports and reading lights was a plus. Furniture is new and no yucky smell. Another perk is 2 free water bottles in the room for gold and higher members. The restaurant downstairs is very reasonable. Great selection on the menu and coffee/juice comes with the meal. Very nice workers in all areas. Parking was good as we got to park in the front and on the side closer to Scandia. For Nena to show me great customer service, while dealing with an irate client was multitasking to an extreme level...he was getting so frustrated I actually started to record it on my phone because I was starting to worry about her safety at this point. She told him to leave (multiple times) and he finally did. She locked the double doors and called her manager (I assume). After, she continued to check us in with the most well mannered way. if I was in her shoes, I would've been crying and asked for the remainder of the day off. Later I was looking at my statement and noticed that I was billed at the normal rate and not the discounted rate I qualified for and that I was told the rate would be adjusted to. I called and spoke with the Operations Manager Abigail who did not take any accountability or offer to help in any way. She blamed her employees who she manage for needing additional training and repeatedly explained Marriott policy that the proper identification needs to be presented at check in. I opened a case with Marriott who forward it to the property and she sent me an email to tell me what she already told and still not offering any help or taking an accountability for her employees. I also experienced another issues during my stay where they ran out of breakfast around 9am and it was not over until 10am. There were people knocking on the door asking for things to be replenished and the kitchen worker left out the back door with earbuds in her ear and I heard her say she's going to break. Just sharing my experience with hopes that this location finds management who's more human like, understanding & willing to take accountability!

Close to the highway but like I said still quiet and restful.
