Fireplace worked for…read moreanother five days and then one day after turning the switch on, I left for the kitchen not cognizant that the fireplace never lit. Several minutes later, an explosion occurred which blew the glass window to fragments and flung parts of the metal frame eight feet into the living room. It was a mess. I called again and they came to investigate and clean up the debris. I don't know what caused the explosion and they didn't either. The reason I'm giving a one-star review was because of the promise they would research vendors for spare parts for repairs. They never made contact with me again.

I contacted Mad Hatter Chimney Sweeps about an issue I was having with my gas fireplace. I left a…read moremessage on their website about the issue, and Stuart at Mad Hatter got back in touch with me the very next day asking for some additional information, which I provided. Stuart again was prompt in getting back to me after he received the information he requested, but more importantly, he offered some suggestions to try to resolve the problem on my own. His sound advice indeed resolved the issue! Not many places would take the time to offer up some suggestions and would instead go right to scheduling a service call. This type of experience should tell you a lot about Mad Hatter Chimney Sweeps -- not only were they very responsive back -- but they also operate a very ethical business that is not out to, may I say, screw you and maximize a sale. Can't say enough good things about this outfit. They are highly recommended.

They arrived on time, worked quickly and carefully to remove quite an accumulation of stuff from our home, and charged a most reasonable price. We were thankful before to have Spring Back for mattress recycling and, now, to also pick up and sort through our "junk," donating and recycling what can be kept out of the landfill. These guys are INCREDIBLE!!…read more My stop and waste valve failed right up next to my home, and I had water in several rooms in my basement (family room, and a bedroom). I contacted the insurance company, and I was expecting to have to replace walls and carpet. They put me in touch with Utah Flood Guys, and told me that they would be able to handle the water, and just to let UFG do their thing. They knocked it out of the park!!! They arrived right on time, and were super calm and collected while I was peppering them with a whole bunch of questions and opinions. I was concerned that just a few fans would not do the job, and id be worrying about a musty smell and possibly left over water. They understood my concerns and took the time to explain the process, to put me at ease. Their equipment was quite impressive, and it was very clear early on that these guys weren't just placing fans. They knew exactly what they were doing, and they were coordinated, clean, and quiet. I can't stress enough, the piece of mind I felt while watching them work. It was super reassuring. They saved me thousands of dollars of repairs, and increased insurance claims. It has been a few months, and I can tell you that there has never even been a whiff of a moldy and musty smell. They left me with a bone-dry basement, and that is all I could to for. They just nailed it! Utah flood guys did a great job, and I want anybody in the same situation to hopefully see my experience, and know to call these guys, because they will take good care of you. I posted the same review on Google, but as a Mac user, I wanted to leave one here as well.
