I make hand crafted sterling silver jewelry. The due to the commission alone I was losing money on this deal but thought that the exposure would help my business. They lost over $1450 retail value of handmade jewelry from me (Priced when silver was still less than $40 an once). When I had gone in to pick them up after 3 months because I needed to reprice them because of the rise in silver prices, they told me that they never priced them or put them out on display, and that they now could not find them. The owner (who pretended to just be an employee) kept telling me that the employee that i had dealt with dropping them off was actually the owner and I had to deal with her. I have returned to the store multiple times over the last month to try and figure out how to handle this but have been constantly lied to, misdirected, and attempts to gas light me into thinking i never left them or already picked them up. My receipts do not reflect that, and the actual owner (Tammy) claimed they didn't keep any kind of receipts for consignments. The owner has consistently tried to blow me off and was not even willing to compensate me the wholesale price or even offer any kind of compensation at all and told me to take her to court. It had been over a month since I first went in to try to collect my merchandise. It was not until I wrote a scathing review that they were magically found. My items have now been returned to me. Christi, the employee at the store has been as helpful and courteous and kind as anyone could ask. She went out of her way to try and find out what happened to my merchandise. Tammy Aillon, the owner, on the other hand, lied to me, hid behind her employees claiming they were the owner, whom i needed to talk to but were not there that day (on multiple days)., she literally hid from me in the back of the store to avoid having to deal with the issue. And when I finally pinned her down as the owner and person actually in charge, she basically told me to it was my loss and to take her to court if i wanted to do anything about it. Christi offered to try to find some way to pay me back, because the owner is such a POS, but I was not going to take her money when it is the store owner's responsibility. And the fact that Tammy was even willing to consider letting her do that instead of stepping up and taking responsibility as the owner, makes me sick at how easily she would throw her own employees under the bus. And to try to get someone making slave wages at your store to take on the financial responsibility of your store's mistake is just reprehensible. I am also disabled and try to sell my art to try to make a little extra just so i can survive and afford my meds and what not. As a business owner, to tell someone struggling just to survive day to day, or anyone for that matter, that you lost nearly $1500 of their merchandise, you've had over a month to find it, and that they just have to deal with the loss is despicable at best. Kristi, thank you for doing all you could. Tammy, I hope you have the day you deserve. I walked the entire store and saw several pieces I was interested in but none of the ladies would acknowledge my presence. Furniture prices are great for the quality of upscale furniture they have.. everyday there is a 20 % off sale on different types of home decor. I think the best part is how easy it is to use them for consignments. Items are nicely displayed for shoppers to take a look at your items.. when they sell a check is cut on the 5th of each month and their easy to use website allows you to check for your name. read more

If you see something you like here, you better buy it immediately! I was literally sitting in a chair I potentially wanted to buy when someone bought it "from under from." The staff is very helpful and friendly. My husband and I went into to just browse then ended up buying bedroom furniture and dining room chairs that look great. They have a location in Clear Lake that I haven't been to, but I hear it's bigger than the Pearland location. read more

A friend purchased some things from them in the past and wanted to take me because I am looking for so much furniture and decor. We noticed how high the prices were immediately and were shocked. Even more shocking is that two employees walked by us a total of four times and only said hello once. I through that I may have found a deal with an antique oak bedroom set. I made eye contact with one of the employees & she walked by. So I decided to pull the drawers out to see if we could figure out the age. We found that it was only about 20 years old, but did find a "hidden treasure"...about 3/16" of dust under each drawer. I guess this allows customers to calculate the age of furniture when employees are busy walking the store. read more

This place is a joke! They are scammers and thieves! We had to sell my grandmother's home and called on Hidden Treasures to help us sell the antique China hutch, buffet, dining room set etc. Paid them to pick things up and they never notified us that they only took half and other stuff got thrown to the curb! We tried calling them to discuss this matter and could not get a hold of them so we proceeded to send a FB message. After doing so they called right away and were so offended because they thought we left the message as a review for the public to see and that was not the case. They then told us that the Hutch needed to be picked up that day or it would be given away. My grandmother had NO way to go get her hutch that day and was given no extra time to plan a way to get it. We received the "donation slip" and were shocked to find out that everything they did take from the house was donated, not just the Hutch as they had mentioned. They STOLE my grandmother's things. She was selling them in order to pay her rent at her assisted living. Hidden Treasures scammed and stole from an 80 year old woman. Their customer service is horrible and we basically paid them to donate the items we needed sold the most. We are now having to track the items down to see if we can get them back in order to sell them ourselves. Unprofessional and dishonest! THIS IS A MUST VISIT! TRUE TO ITS NAME... A HIDDEN TREASURE. The COVID-19 precautions expected were posted on the door, hand sanitizer available upon entry and all staff wearing masks put me at ease to shop. Staff were very attentive, inquiring if I needed assistance as I browsed. The store has really nice furniture and decor for sale at a great price and I love the way the store has their items staged. Stevie was very pleasant and helpful in person, over the phone and very accommodating with scheduling a time to pickup my purchase. I wish I lived a little closer to visit more often to see what new items arrived. read more

Joni, I appreciate your feedback even though it took 5 months for you to do so. Unfortunately, your response did not address the communication issue. If you felt the need to heavily discount this table it should have been addressed with me first via a phone call or email which I provided to you. Additionally, it is absurd to expect sellers to call every day to see if their items have sold. A simple email stating that the item has sold is very easy for your business to do. Also it is ridiculous that you would have pocketed the money that the item went for had I not called that day to get my check. My review stands as is. I have been waiting on my check since last year and was told my furniture was not sold. I called again almost 3 months later and was my furniture was sold a while back and they would send me my check. When the check arrived is was not able to be cashed. After sending the check back I was informed I had to have a pay deduction and have not receive a check since I sent it off for a new one more than a week ago. When I call to check on the status I'm informed that it will be out in a few days and still have not received it. I have got hung up on several times and dealt with rudeness. Very disappointed. I've been a customer for 2 years. My daughter found a bed that she loved, and we are moving in two weeks. I had $500 cash for this bed, but the manager was so rude, and would not extend the delivery by 2 days for a $500 purchase! Are you serious? What kind of customer service is that?? This place is great to window shop however, DO NOT I repeat DO NOT try to sell anything with them. They charge a $75 non refundable fee and any typed of scratch they will deny it. Good Grief, it's Used furniture!!. what did you expect? I actually saw some wooden tables with scratches on sale myself and other items that I "personally" would not have purchased. The attendant assured me not to worry, that there is a normal tear and wear on used furniture so I believed her. What they should do is charge the fee and perhaps refund 50% if is not up to their standards. But instead they take the entire deposit. Yes, it is in the contract, I get it, I read it, but how in the hell are we supposed to know what their standards are if they don't look at it first? very poor practice. Also, perhaps the attendant should not be so adamant about selling it if she saw the pictures and they seemed alright to her. Extremely disappointed. Not a new customer - been in this area for 10-12 years. I went to both locations yesterday (01-12-17), looking for either shelving or something to put in my daughters office in our home. Went to the NASA location first then onto the Pearland location. Both locations had a huge whiteboard in the front area with the "sale d'jour", Silver or gold- 20% off! Ok - just have that in the back of my mind - would not bother me one way or another - it's the principle, right? Looked around and a file cabinet (silver) caught my eye - it was stylish, not a plain aluminum one like all the normal kind. Had a little padding on the front drawers... I think my daughter would like this! So I go to the front and ask if someone could help me... they had 3 ladies, plus a lady I am assuming as the owner - tall woman whom was on the phone when I walked in wheeling and dealing with someone. Well - one barked and said I know what you are talking about - I said ok. Another lady just stared at me and I had to look away.... I really didn't know what to do except just stand there. Then they all gathered round like a bunch of- what do you call those large birds that eat dead animals in the road?? Yes, Vultures! Even the owner giving the new cashier instructions on what to charge, etc... I couldn't believe my eyes!! I said and it's "silver" (kind of excited) to which I was again barked at "NO - it's GREY! Ok??? Really?? No big deal people! So I paid the full price of 53 bucks! They wheeled it to my car, and the lady just allowed me slide it into my rear of my vehicle. I was just appalled at the treatment of the owner and associates working here! It was like they salivating on a sale that they hadn't seen in awhile! I just couldn't believe they treat people this way! If this was my business and I wanted repeat or voice advertisement free to others, I would have given the 20% discount anyway and would have bent over backwards to have this cabinet loaded into the car! These people are horrible. I took my treasures there to be sold, they sold them, I had 3 family members pass away and Harvey hit, and did not pick up my check. When I did it was over 90 days old and they said I could not cash it had to be deposited at my bank, my bank could not cash due to being over 90 days. So I called and ask them to reissue the check they said they would have to charge me it was more than the check. These people I believe took my stuff made money off me and stole my money. I always make an effort to shop in both locations. Hidden Treasures is truly that! There is so much merchandise that things are truly hidden. Staff is pretty friendly. Everything is very clean and very well presented. A nice shopping experience. I have found and bought some nice things in both locations. I say this as a shopper and not a cosigner. This place is a scam. We took a custom made, solid oak, $5000.00 armoire there for consignment. Not only did they GIVE it away, but they didn't even bother to notify us that they were going to do that so we could pick it up. This is after they sold some stuff for us before, and never bothered to tell us it was sold and pay us our portion until we came in with the armoire. I walk in there months later to check up on them, and they just say "oops, you should've been notified, sorry we donated it". Is there recourse on this? Nope, because they can just say they did call, when it never happened. Basically they stole $5000.00 worth of merchandise from us. It's not like this was a cheap piece of particle board furniture. It was high end (weighed about 500 pounds) and custom made...dovetails and all. I will never ever ever do business with this consignment store again. Completely unprofessional. read more

Beautiful furniture, but HORRIBLE customer service. I purchased a twin bed with trundle. The staff told me if I want to take it home that day that I can load it up myself or make an appointment to have their men workers load it for me. I'm a woman and cannot load it myself so I made an appointment. They asked me if I would take it assemble or would I like for them to disassemble it. I told them to disassemble it because it may rain and might need to pick it up in my expedition instead of a truck. That was the agreement that I thought we had. However the day of my pick up appointment, the bed was still assemble. The staff men were about to disassemble it and a staff member lady told them not to do it because their was no agreement to take it apart. I was right in front of her and told her, that was not correct. The agreement was that I will pick it up disassemble. She said she was told other wise. So if I wanted it taken apart, I should get my husband to do it. I told my husband that this was not the agreement that I made with the sales lady and that this place was not costumer friendly. As soon as she heard me say this, she allowed the men to help my husband. This is supposed to be an "upscale consignment store." I've gotten better service at garage sells with smaller furniture. What really upset me the most was that she stated, "I'm going to find out who made this error, it makes YOU look bad and us." How can this make me look bad? She didn't even apologize. I'm a costumer who made a large purchase and needs assistance to load. I paid good money for the bed and to be treated this way was wrong. This was my first time purchasing here and will be my last. I hope they read this review and not allow this to happen to someone else. I hate being confrontational and writing bad reviews but this was the first time this has ever happen to me.
