This place really deserves more credit - the Korean food options that they serve are, frankly in my amateur opinion, quite good. I normally come here for lunch especially when the craving for Asian food can't be met by the 'oh-so-boring' Temakeria and everytime I have liked what they serve. For lunch at R$ 38-40 they have some options of bibimbap & sundubu and the portions are quite well served -the spice level is on the higher side so I recommend that you go prepared to get some good Korean flavours. Most of the customers are Koreans or Japanese from neighbouring Paulista based companies - also another sign that the food is authentic. A place I visit frequently and has never let me down !

Mirim is basically a restaurant to go during weekdays for lunch and focus on the Korean expat population in the neighborhood. From bibimbap (rice with meat and vegetables in a hot bowl to mix with a raw egg and chili paste) to sundubu (spicy soup with tofu and seafood), you can try the basics of Korean food. The lunch menu dishes include the main dish and 3 options of banchan (kimchi is always a must) and for attracting more customers, they have a loyalty program. For every 10 meals, you get 1 for free. I have my favorite dish which is the sundubu. I already tired bibimbap which was good, but a dish I would not recommend is any noodle based dish. Even though the broth was spicy, the noodles tastes like instant noodles you can get at any grocery shop in Bom Retiro.

Initially started off as a huge disappointment since we arrived and were told we were not within the "5 minute" grace period so they gave up our table. I am confused at how an establishment can require credit card reservation and give up seats so easily. Truthfully, I believe this place has no respect for Americans visiting. Upon being forced to wait outside, I saw several Brasilian customers arrive and able to be seated without a wait. I would think at such a famous bar, customer service would be a priority but it is not. While outside waiting we decided to go ahead and order hello suckers drink and elegance. The hello sucker was supposed to be less on the sweet side with a combo of tequila blanco, vodka pimenta, dry vermouth. The drinks arrived and honestly was bad. It taste like very bad chicken broth. Finally, we were able to be seated inside. The ambiance is very simple and seating is jam packed with you right next to your neighbor. I told the waitress about the first drink I had, she suggested the Kiss of Life drink which has seco, Johnnie Walker and said this would be better. I gave it a try but it what slightly better than my previous drink. We ordered some food such as gyoza de porco, wonton de camaro and aka teba (fried chicken). The entire meal was probably the worst meal I've had in São Paulo so far. I'm not sure how this place became number 24 on top 50 Bar list but it is a scam. And if you are visiting São Paulo, it is not worth the stress of visiting. There are plenty of restaurants with better food and better drinks.

First off, this is legit Thai. The dishes are authentic and delicious. They have wonderful cocktails. They have lots of vegetarian options!!! We frequented this restaurant several time during our stay in Brasil. The food was always delicious, though the service would range from fabulous to nonexistent. A few times my veggie tom kha soup had to be sent back because it arrived with chicken in it. (And trust me, we ordered in Portuguese.) However, despite the occasional mistakes, and the occasional rude server, we still loved the restaurant. They have great lunch specials as well! A must try if you love Thai.

The experience was nice but nothing special. My husband and I decided to go back this weekend so I could determine if maybe it was just the chef that night that didn't deliver what was expected. Honestly the environment is so relaxing it's hard not to want to dine here. We tried to order the lamb curry and they "were out". We thought okay this is opportunity to order some completely different plates. We ordered the duck curry and efu noodles. The food arrived and the curry looked and smelled delicious, as soon as we took our first bite we both agreed it was lacking that tangy kick , it had the spice but nothing else, barely even any flavor. We were surprised because it smelled so good! We asked for lime and salt to add ourselves which made it much better. The noodles were so so and overall I was a disappointed and we probably won't be coming back but I will say the restaurant is beautiful, relaxing, and romantic and the staff is very warm and helpful. They just need to get a chef that contributes to the wonderful setup they have there.
