It also appeared that employees working the floor were avoiding helping with paperwork. Several staff members would go into the back room whenever customers needed assistance instead of helping. I eventually called the store and asked to speak with a manager, but instead of connecting me, the employee asked why I needed to speak with one and never actually put me through to a manager. After waiting nearly an hour without receiving any help, I ended up leaving. This was a very frustrating and unprofessional experience. I hope management or ownership at Blackstone Shooting Sports looks into what happened that evening, because customers should not be left waiting this long without assistance. If someone from management or ownership would like to follow up about this experience, I would appreciate hearing from you.

Seems to be a well run partnership at first glance. Suggestion: prior to visiting, head to the website, watch the orientation video, and complete the online waiver. They'll have it waiting for you to sign at the office. The office is your first stop, where you'll sign the waiver (after watching the video, if you didn't already watch it online) and pay your fees. A single fee gives you all day access via wristband, and just a couple dollars more pays for the target stands you'll be using. One free target comes with the fees. Staplers and staples are provided free at each range. Office staff can answer your initial questions and get you in-processed quickly, then let the range officers know you're coming their way. Suggestion 2: weapons brought into the complex must be cased and unloaded. Do this before you arrive, and everything will go smoothly. Range officers are helpful, friendly, and not drill sergeants. Listen to them, follow their instructions, and enjoy the day. They've all got different personalities, of course; the Range 2 guys were pretty lackadaisical, while I appreciated the efficiency of the Range 3 crew. The facilities I saw were all clean and well equipped. Nothing fancy, mind you, but still far nicer than most of the public ranges I've seen. It's a shame there aren't more facilities of this caliber dispersed around the state. I certainly wish there were one closer to where I live. But going here was worth the drive. And for those of us who are veterans, there are discounts for visiting on weekdays. Maybe I can take advantage of that some time soon.

Had Andrew coat two Ruger sr9c for us recently, dropped off on February 19th and picked up March…read more7th. Already noticed a minor chip in one frame, but he knocked $20 off the price for that, so it was whatever then continue to notice minor things over the next few days and chip more and more each time its carried either in or out of a holster. Mine ran a box of ammo fluidly before dropping off...same with the other gun...now mine jams every freaking round, had been cleaned and oiled and still doing it so guessing it wasn't reassembled correctly or something wasn't done right post coating. One of the guns wasn't even done the chosen color, or sure doesn't look it, but still liked it so that wasn't a huge huge deal...but the chipping and bubbles appearing in the color are! Creakote is supposed to be extremely durable so we know something wasn't done right. Getting a response is not really happening now either, not sure if its a general message issue or what. Its been determined or well a huge assumption based on facts that the guns were NOT properly prepared for the coating, and simply coated over the stock color. Causing one to have too much color buildup and one for the coating to wipe off with freaking gun oil!! AND I have learned in searching for someone to fix the trigger problem (or at least determine if it is more than just color build up or damaged spring from being coated and baked) we are NOT the only ones having these same exact issues here lately!!
