We did take out on a Saturday. Quick service though not the friendliest. They did include two free egg rolls which were very good. The beef and broccoli was one of the better ones I have had. Their pork fried rice is tasty too. Convenient next to Publix and plenty of parking. Definitely more of a take out set up than dining in as there were only a few booths and not very welcoming vibe - more of a counter grab and go. read more

I ordered online when we were about 20 minutes away. We arrived a few minutes before it said the food would be ready. Upon arrival, we were told there was an issue with the computer. Then we were asked what our order was and if we had paid. Glad I had screenshots and the email receipt. Would not recommend ordering online. No point. Food was ready about 25-30 minutes past when it was supposed to be done. The food was good though. I got sweet and sour chicken. Others in our group got the teriyaki chicken bowls and everyone liked it. read more

Service was very good, atmosphere was a typical Hibachi style. Had shrimp dinner which was inedible. No excuses for not having great fresh shrimp in Charleston. Not deveined, small hard no flavor. read more

great service, always polite and food is always so good! my favorite quick hibachi place in town!

I called in my order of steak hibachi with no broccoli and they fulfilled it as requested. My husband was happy with the food. There is easy free surface lot parking; I wish they did curbside pick up... I would get to-go more often for my husband if they did just because it's hard to haul the kiddos in. read more

Christ this place is bad... got the steak and chicken hibachi. They put down all rice and a small portion of chicken and steak. Give you 1 sauce and the food was very plain. Not coming here again read more

Hibachi Grill on Savannah Highway in West Ashley is one of my favorite spots for hibachi in the area. I really like the way that everything is prepared and is fresh and delicious. The steak and shrimp are my favorites to get. They are a good choice for a quick lunch stop or for dinner when you need to feed a lot of people. The staff here is very friendly and goes out of their way to make sure that you are well taken care of. They have been consistent with their quality over time and have been a reliable stop that you can count on for quality hibachi. read more

Have been going to Hibachi Grill for years and years. It's a great go to spot for hibachi food in West Ashley. We typically get it to go. Service and speed of preparation is always great. The food is always very consistent and very good every time. The restaurant is always clean and has a welcoming staff! read more

Ordered two hibachi steak and chicken received two hibachi steak and shrimp. I'm allergic.. negligence is dangerous. $45 for a ruined meal.

So the worst thing about this place is the lady at the front counter... her attitude is shit. I don't even know whether or not to call it an attitude or a mood, because she's ALWAYS like that. She talks to customers any kind of way. Never wat here, there are so many other great Hibatchi places in Charleston. read more

This place is dog food. Mushy, bland dog food. Don't order if you're thinking about it. If you're on the fence then just impale yourself on the fence rather than ordering from here. read more

Affordable hidden hibachi gem. The prices match the decor. It's like walking into the late 80's early 90's. Centrally located in the heart of west Ashley. I ordered the teriyaki shrimp combo that includes rice and veggies. They give a good amount of shrimp and they clean the shrimp. The veggies included are zucchini, broccoli and onions. The shrimp were DELICIOUS, the teriyaki flavor was a little on the sweet side. The broccoli was hard and the zucchini has a really weird taste, my daughter said it taste like tap water. The rice was decent. The major downside to my meal was the amount of teriyaki sauce. I couldn't finish the food because it was doused in teriyaki sauce where it was soupy. I would go back because I know to request the veggies well down and extremely light sauce. read more

Ordered Chicken Teriyaki and fried rice from here on Uber Eats last night for the first time. I ate dinner and went to bed feeling fine, then woke up early this morning with the worst food poisoning imaginable. First time this has ever happened to me and I have not moved from my bed in 24 hours. Incredibly disappointing. read more

This was my first time here and I wasn't disappointed. The Hibachi Steak & Shrimp was delicious. The steak is cooked to your preference (medium in our case). The steak was very tender and wasn't fatty at all. The rice and vegetables were flavorful. We also got the Lemon Pepper Chicken (today's special) and it likewise was awesome. I placed the order to go and I didn't have to wait even ten minutes for it. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Always nice and always quick to get orders ready. I love their General Tsos!! Would recommend

It may not be the most creatively named place, but OMG this place is addictive! I just moved to Charleston from Atlanta, and one thing I hadn't been able to find was decent Japanese food. I had a favorite place back home and nothing in Charleston had been comparable. I decided to do a Yelp search while on James Island and this place came up in the search results. After looking at some of the photos on Yelp, I decided it looked good and ordered over the phone. My order was ready when I arrived, not even 5 minutes later! I was so impressed. I ordered the steak hibachi plate and an onion soup. The portions for everything were huge, and I only paid like $12 total. Definitely enough for two meals for me. The steak and rice were great, the vegetables (zucchini, broccoli, onions and mushrooms) and pink sauce were to die for, and the soup... I could drink about a gallon of it. I am SO glad I found this little hole in the wall place! Everything was fresh and so, so good. Found my Charleston Japanese fix! read more

The only bad thing about this place is the lady that takes your order! RUDE! I know things are different with this virus crap but she shut the door on me at the drive thru when I asked for more sauce! I will never go back there again she really should be thankful she has a job and loose the attitude or go back to the DMV with that tude read more

Nice little place! Better than Panda Express for sure. We had lunch there. I had the sweet and sour chicken and husband had chicken low mien. Both were good! read more

I have never encountered a more rude restaurant employee. It was bad enough that a customer had to ask her if she would be more polite and she responded, "I don't have to be polite. You can call my manager, I don't have to be polite." read more

I am new to the area and was just looking for something good for dinner. I am a US Navy Veteran and I also work at the VA and have been commuting from Columbia for the past two months before finding a place in West Ashley. I walked in at a little after 4 pm and got the worst glare from the woman working at the counter. I gave my order and she rang it up wrong and then I tried to pay and something happened with there machine and she then said ma'am just leave your card in the machine and tossed my receipt at me through a little window. I then asked for a refund and she said why and I told her her attitude with me and throwing a receipt at me and then she proceeded to raise her voice at me cussing and using derogatory racial remarks and threatening me over and over. She approached me and I just stood there she told me over and over about her personal business as if it was an excuse to be rude to people. She threatened me over and over again and was screaming at the top of her voice. She walked out and told the guys cooking you need to come get your customer because I am leaving I 'need this s***. She called me a cracker and said all you white people should just go back to the mountains? She came back in and was speaking something in another language and didn't wash her hands but continued to verbally abuse me for no reason. She told me several times that her husband passed away and she did not need this s***. I told her I was sorry but she didn't know what anyone else is going through and this isn't a racial thing I just wanted to pick up a nice dinner. I was not cussing at her or raising my voice or threatening her at all. This is worst experience I have ever had and I would not visit this place ever again and recommend you do either and after reading the other reviews it like she has been at for quite awhile and still allowed to work there or either all the people they hire are just as rude as her. I called the owner/manager and he apologized very lightly and offered me the refund I asked for but didn't seem very worried about it at all. No other attempts to resolve this issue were made. Very disappointed and feeling unsafe and degraded In Charleston! read more

HORRIABLE! At first the cook was on the phone the whole time and made our food WITH NO GLOVES ON! Then it took 20 mins to get the food, got one plate and was told the other would be out shortly, WHAT?? When it came we asked for silverware, the manager said it's over by the register and walked away to sit at a booth behind us on his phone! Just horrible SERVICE AND NASTY TOO. We ate a few bites and left. read more

Is just OK. Includes both Japanese and Chinese. Is geared mostly toward takeout, but have small, not very attractive, section to dine in. Things like spring rolls and dumplings come straight out of frozen bag, which is not surprising for this kind of takeout. Quality maybe slightly better than average Chinese takeout, but service definitely slower. read more

This is really a great and very cheap place to eat at especially if you are stuck in traffic on Savanah hgywy 17! Good quality steak and not too sweet teriyaki! Very quiet little place! Clean. Friendly staff. read more

I LOVE this place for basic hibachi dishes, for an affordable and convenient option. White sauce=great, ginger sauce=better for salad, but works. Atmosphere=ummm, well, you get your money's worth, maybe take to-go on a great picnic, or eat at work like I do half the time. Big fan of veggie or chicken teriyaki with white rice. 'More than enough food!!! Try their entire menu for your own opinion~ read more

The staff is extremely rude! Literally the woman behind the counter completely ignored me when I went to pick up some Togo food! After asking her the same question several times, she glared at me. I then asked her if she was ignoring me, another glare at me! The restaurant was empty, so Togo food is obviously what keeps it running! Horrible service, ignoring people??? Come on!!!! read more

It has decent food but the lady who works on friday nights seems to not care about her job at all. Messed up orders twice now. She's needs to go. Everyone else is very nice though. read more

I cannot recommend getting food from this restaurant. I got the chicken bowl with white rice. The flavor was bland, the chicken was sparce (about 12 very small chunks), and the rice was overabundant --just added weight to the dish. For $5 and change, it was really worth about $1.75. The photo will tell the story. It was not clean inside, which is why it also smelled unpleasant. It left me with a similar impression I get in a gas station bathroom. Not worth going back there. read more

This restaurant was an extremely pleasant surprise! We stopped on the way home from Florida and spontaneously decided to eat hibachi. The rice was delicious, the white sauce was incredible, the steak was high quality, low in fat, and cooked to perfection. Wonderful vegetables, tasty and perfectly complemented with a conventional hibachi overtone. It was not especially greasy or in any way unhealthy, I would have to say I wish I lived near this place. Compared to similar styled restaurants, in presentation and general regional cuisine, I would choose this restaurant over others without hesitation. Seems to be family owned and authentically Japanese. Hats off to the owners for accomplishing a well deserved satisfied customer. read more

My daughter and I came to eat here on Sunday the 28th of October around 2:30. It's her favorite restaurant. We walked in, to a cashier with and attitude she said NOTHING to us. The look on her face was hurry up and tell me what you want so I dont have to deal with you anymore. made no effort to make eye contact or even acknowledge I tried to make a joke about the damaged cups. Thought maybe she was in a bad mood (trying to cheer her up) no, it wasnt her, it was US. The next couple that came in (of her same ethnicity) she was carrying on a conversation, making eye contact, being helpful and engaging. To us, she was having no part of it! The food, as ALWAYS, was delicious! The restaurant as ALWAYS looks dirty, run down, sticky tables, ripped seats, kitchen looks clean though, chefs do a great job. read more

The bowls are incredible, amazing quality for a great price! The steak and shrimp are cooked to absolute perfection. Not only was the food terrific but the owner and staff are fantastic as well :) read more

Consistently good teriyaki/hibachi and gyoza. Girls on the phone aren't the most pleasant when making a takeout order, and honestly is the only thing keeping this place from a 5* review. read more

The food is great. The girl answering the phone on the other hand is a wretched beast. How about answering the phone with a smile instead of an inconvenienced attitude !? I literally just ordered food and will be saying something when I go to pick it up. I can usually get someone to lighten up by being friendly to them. Not this girl. Total disappointment. Would give 5 stars if not for her. read more

Freaking awesome! Wonderful and cheap. It's hard to find that combination! Best hibachi in West Ashley. Huge steak hibachi is under $10.00. The white sauce is a little tangier than most places. Not sure why, but it's better than normal. read more

I ordered the steak hibachi rate and it came well done. The staff was not nice and the vegetables were barely grilled. One of the worst hibachi places I have ever been to. Don't go! read more

Great little place to stop in and get some good food for a great price! Love this place! Called in an order on a Sunday night at 9:15 and they were happy to take and it was wonderful! Veggie and shrimp tempura is awesome! They don't have this on their menu online but I love the steak, shrimp, and chicken and it's called the Chicken Supreme, I believe. Great place to stop in and get a quick bite and they are open later than most takeout habachi places! read more

The food is always amazing here, this is the only hibachi place I've found in Charleston that is just as good take out as one of those "cook in front of you" places. Everyone is always very pleasant except for one lady that seems to always be having a terrible day (pretty sure her name is Kesha). She was extremely ugly to me when I walked in to pick up my take out order, to which I told her she could be a little nicer. She then proceeded to tell me "I don't have to be nice to you! You can go somewhere else for all I care." I have been going here for years (I order takeout here at least twice a week) and will continue to come back but if this had been my first time coming here, I certainly would not come back. I highly advise that management address this problem because she had no issue yelling at me in front of the entire restaurant. I had a conversation with two gentlemen who were eating there at the time and they said she was just as rude to them. read more

Hands down this is my favorite hibachi place in all of South Carolina. I usually do not write reviews for Yelp, but this place is great. Although I have been going here for four years, I always get the chicken teriyaki and don't venture out too much. First of all, their rice is perfect. It has almost a stickier type of consistency but there is the right amount of sauce cooked with it. I swear the rice gets better and better every time I go. For vegetables, you get a great portion of zucchini and onions - two of my favorites! I'm not too keen on mushrooms, but fortunately they usually don't serve it with the entrees. The chicken is amazing. They are perfect bite sized pieces with a sweet crispy glaze. Add some white sauce with it and you will not be disappointed. You won't be disappointed going here. I am a hibachi fanatic. read more

I really wish the chicken and steak teriyaki had a little more flavor, but overall it is good for takeout

It took 40 minutes for us to get our dinner (eat in). Everyone before us had a mix up with their orders (take out). When we finally got our food; my daughters rice was ice cold, I had something crunchy in my veggies (honestly I spit it out & was afraid to look) & my son had several hairs in his food. We threw it all away & left. read more
