Stopped in here for a bite and a break heading back late from the coast. Nothing fancy at all, but the prices were reasonable and service efficient. We sat in the booth opposite the counter, which meant I could see that the sushi I ordered was removed from one of the takeaway boxes and plated to be served at the table. The rice was swapped out in the process, which I found odd. I wouldn't rush back, but I'd go again if I was in need of a quick meal in the area. read more

I am regular at Hi Sushi, in fact I don't even need to order any longer, they see me and ask I will 'Have the usual?'. My usual is the Tofu Don, it comes with a free miso and for under $10 bucks it's a charm. So delicious and filling. On the vegan front they have eggplant miso, a vegie bento that's vegan if you ask them not to dress the salad. They also have miso, edamame, and fried rice (ask for no egg). So the options are many ( iahven't listed them all. The food is consistently delicious and the service kind. Also, just a tip, the sushi isn't vegan (even the veg one) as I have seen them use the mayo to on their gloves liberally to prevent rice sticking when they make the handrolls. read more

i come here so so often purely because everything is of such high quality! the staff are the sweetest and most attentive staff i've ever met, they make you feel right at home. the entire menu is delicious, anywhere from sushi hand rolls to bento boxes. the decor and music is very calming and is a great atmosphere whether you're eating alone or with friends and family. 100% recommend to anyone and everyone who loves Japanese cuisine. read more
