This place is certainly one of those places, but I found a seat quickly enough, and was served rather promptly as well. In fact, I found that the service was pretty good, but in the end it came down to the eggs benedict and the tea. Well, it turned out that they were pretty good as well.

Reading the menu I was a little bored to be honest. I was taken in by the hot cakes and that's about all, even the savoury options had me wanting more. The lunch menu actually looked much more exciting and had me wondering if they do better with main meals rather than brunch style? We decided to share the hot cakes as we weren't too hungry. The coffee was absolute perfection and something I didn't expect from a local cafe. They were slowly making up for any menu misgivings. Our hot cakes arrived (ricotta and lemon curd) and were to die for. Perfect, not too sweet and a little fresh fruit. I can now see I was being too harsh. The menu might be simple but it's done well and done to perfection. We will be back to Andy's but maybe next time to try lunch! Shout out to the staff - on the ball, efficient and friendly!

On my first visit I enjoyed the veggie fritters, they were super tasty & very filling. It was hard to not opt for them again on my next visit. Instead I tried the polenta chips & mushroom ragout, it looked interesting but tasted fabulous with a nice zingy tomato relish. On my most recent dining experience I had the Korean fried chicken burger with a side of polenta chips & this did not disappoint either. Moist chicken, a slightly aromatic slaw & a lovely brioche bun. The polenta chips came with a hint of tomato relish. I was a little disappointed that as an extra side dish I only received 3 polenta chips but I needn't have feared as coupled with the burger my tummy was left sufficiently full. I've observed many dishes leaving the kitchen & they all look delicious. I'll be sure to try their poached chicken salad on my next visit, which will no doubt be soon. North & Eight have a variety of cakes, muffins & pastries as well as yummy ButterBings. So if you have any space left after your main course you can thrown in an extra treat to satisfy your sweet tooth. The coffee is good in my opinion, there are a number of teas on offer & also there take on the freak shake. North & Eight I believe offers fresh, tasty food that is reasonably priced. Generally an abundance of staff means that service is prompt. A nice fresh fit out makes for a great dining experience overall!!!

Pop in for a hit of coffee on a Sunday morning, when the dose from the Nespresso machine is just not cutting the mustard. Indulge in their Asian-influenced brunch menu when you've had one too many cocktails the night before, and your go to seeds / kale / superfoods will never satiate your hunger (then it's the Korean fried chicken open waffle you want). Service is always attentive, and it feels like the staff are all from the same family - descendants of immigrants, aiming to slap lashings of flavour onto bland breakfast staples, whilst delivering portions the size of your head. Good coffee, lovely Scandi-esque atmosphere and certainly worth the wait / struggle with parking / children, to eat there. You will leave feeling satisfied and ready to pop in the next time there's no queue out the front.
