Lunch on a week day with a work guest. Went at 11:45 and the place was filling up fast. Its a small space but typical for this region. Very clean and we were greeted warmly and given our choice of tables.
Waiter was nice and offered an English menu for me but my guest was able to describe the specials and the waiter filled in more detail.
White asparagus is in now. I've had it before other places and was not a fan but was told to try it here. Glad I did. Cooked but still crisp with real butter and prosciutto ham with cheese and roasted small tomatoes. Some arugula and small tart flowers made the plate beautiful. Cell was dead from 9 hour flight and hour train so sorry no pictures.
I'd get it again and recommend it. Served with potatoes on the side and fresh rolls with yes, more butter.
I saw soups, salads, eggs on toast, filets of beef and more asparagus going by. Heard no complaints from the neighbor close tables.
If you want good food in an efficiently run brassiere here it is. I'm not sure its a romantic destination if its crowded, which it might be.
