His adjustments are spot-on, and best of all he does not try to sell you any supplements or extra services. His staff is excellent, they even respond to text messages after hours when I have questions. I'm not sure I can recommend this place highly enough. They have taken away a great deal of my pain CONSISTENTLY over the past few years. I don't usually write many reviews. And I tend to write mostly positive reviews, for folks who are doing a superior job because I feel that people who write terribly negative reviews are doing it in order to bring the person down out of anger, spite, or competition. I suspect that some of the negative reviews here about his practice are targeting Dr. Mike for other reasons. Perhaps it is competitor, or a or disgruntled past employee who wrote them...? I have seen five different chiropractors in the last 20 years in the Ann Arbor-Saline-Ypsilanti area, three different osteopaths, and several different Physical Theripists. I had an injury that required different therapy at different times and I also have rheumatoid arthritis. Of all of the people that I have gone to see, Dr. Mike ranks in the top two. Some of these therapists and doctors were excellent and some were terrible. A couple were mediocre. I would name their names because it's not an ethical thing to do. I am a kindergarten teacher and I live and work in Ann Arbor, MI. I practice what I teach about honesty and kindness. Here is what I can tell you... Dr. Mike has a lovely, clean office, with a terrific atmosphere. The bathrooms are clean, he has complementary coffee, tea, and water in the waiting area, and (I'm not sure I can say this last part enough) HE IS AN EXCELLENT CHIROPRACTOR. Dr. Meath can do traditional manipulations, and he can also do manipulations with that tiny metal gun shaped device which some folks prefer. He can take X-rays, but does not require it. Also, I think it is important to note that I don't go to see Dr. Mike because of the atmosphere, or the free drinks, or because of how clean the bathroom is. I go to see him because he is ethical, kind, and he is not a shyster who sells a bunch of extra potions, lotions, x-rays, tonics, or other services. He is straight up, honest, he listens to what you say, and he tells you about all the things he can do to help, always listening to what your preference is. He has never over-billed me for ANYTHING and I have excellent coverage. I love that after my first visit, I have never waited more than 15 minutes for an appointment. Once as a walk-in, I waited at most 18 minutes. He does not ever mind adding a walk-in client to his schedule! Today, while I was thinking to make an appointment to go in, I decided to leave Dr. Meath a review because it occurred to me what excellent care I have received there over the years before seeing him. I was shocked to see anyone negative review here! Prior to finding Rr. Mike's office, I floated around from place to place looking for a person who wasn't trying to sell me something other than an adjustment. That is sometimes hard to find in the world of adjustments and chiropractic care. If you are searching, like I was, this is the place to go; your search will be over. Also, if you're just looking for very good care given by an extremely kind and thoughtful human being, this is your place. She is very professional, reassuring and friendly. With the initial consultation, x-rays are taken and then she sets up a treatment plan. She is great about tailoring the adjustment to individual needs (and fears!). She was very gentle with my adjustments and we eventually found one that "worked" for me. After approx. 20 visits, my treatment was "complete" although I still see her monthly for general adjustments. I feel relief and release in the problem area, like a burden has been lifted. For one in my 40's my MD prescribed physical therapy, but after weeks of no relief, I turned to chiropractic work. Over the same course of time as physical therapy, this completely corrected the problem. Four years ago it was too far to drive to my former chiropractor, and so I put off the pain until the day I finally just couldn't get out of the car and had to call for help. Coincidentally, I had just run into a reliable source in the parking lot who gave me a referral to East Stadium Chiropractic Wellness. I was impressed right off the bat. My first visit began with an X-ray, and Dr. Kroes completely explained to me exactly where the problem spots were along my spine. I also had copies of these to show to my employer at the time. I came back to Dr. Kroes with new issues a month ago. I have been thrilled with my progressive recovery over these four weekly sessions. Dr. Kroes keeps up on his research and introduces new and effective techniques. I highly recommend East Stadium Chiropractic Wellness. And I've never waited less than 20 minutes for my scheduled appointment. It doesn't matter if you go earlier in the day or the afternoon- I've tried both. Do not trust any quote times from the staff. They just overbook anyway. I've tried talking to the staff to understand how they run things. But the communication is terrible and very frustrating. For my first appointment, I waited nearly 2 hours to see Brian. If I hadn't said anything to the staff, I am certain it would've been longer, close to 3 hours. For weekly adjustments, for example, I book a 3pm, weeks in advance. And as it turns out, I am always waiting until 3:30. Typically seeing the chiro for an adjustment takes about 10-15 minutes but here, its nearly an 1 hour on a busy day!!! It's really unacceptable. This is because two or more people are booked at the same time. The laws of physics don't allow two or more things to occupy the same time and space. Other Chiropractors I've been to have had much better scheduling practices so they have no excuse other than to make more money at the patient's inconvenience. Also, I dont like being sold services outside of my insurance. I told Brian I enjoy working out and every time I came in for an adjustment, he tries to sell me a product, either a pillow or this electro-therapy that he says "reduces athlete recovery time to zero". Well, this service, whatever it is, medical necessity aside, is out-of-pocket. Although he says the first session is free, I never took him up on the offer. This is a very unprofessional office, overall. The medical care is OK. If you don't mind waiting a long time or constantly being sold products and services, then give it a try.

Pros: First Choice was able to help me with the resurgence of a small back issue. (I've seen other…read morechiropractors in the past, but my favorite is not now available.) They also did an x-ray, which was a good idea, and was made available to me to download. Cons: #1. Their 1st and 2nd visit introductory videos contain blatant "snake oil" claims, e.g. "90% of disease is caused by neuro-skeletal issues". (I suspect Louis Pasteur would be a little surprised by that.) #2. They seem to specialize in very short/small adjustments, multiple times per week. I make no claims, but suggest googling "chiropractic mill". Caveat Emptor. #3. They did very little in the way of observational diagnosis. (E.g. bend forward, back, turn neck, turn shoulders, etc. etc.) Instead, two very quick checks and they started in on (a very few) adjustments. #4. The doc I saw literally did not understand the difference between millimeters and centimeters.
