I especially liked the in room nespresso, and automatic window shades; not something I expected. More importantly the room was quiet and the shades helped with the sun. My only complaint is the bed was quite firm and pillows not great. Although to be fair they have a pillow menu so had I not been lazy, that could have been alleviated. If included in your room package, you get 1 hour at the pool per day but it has to be scheduled. That I found quite counter intuitive to relaxation however I do appreciate that the pool and hot tubs were never busy as a result of the scheduling. The location is perfect of course and close to many things to do. My review may be quite biased as I wasn't footing the bill but the price really wasn't bad for a 5 star hotel; far less than many 3-4 star hotel in the states and I would pay it myself if I was looking for a relaxing hotel room.

We called…read moreand asked for maintenance to come up but were told the AC wasn't on (even though the hallway and reception area was nice and cool) so they would switch our room and they'd be right up with the key to the new room. 15 minutes later still no key so husband had to go get the key. It may not sound like much but at this type of hotel you expect more! We've stayed at three NH Collection hotels in other countries and they were perfect. This one, not so much!!

It wasn't the stuffy, uncomfortable, and overly formal style of luxury - it was a perfect blend of making me feel spoiled yet also at home. The rooms were large with big windows, a well lit bathroom with great ceiling vent, huge showers with hot water and good pressure. The beds were comfortable and gave me a great night's rest after a day of travel. The city of Vigo is generally walkable and this hotel is near several shops and restaurants so it was a great location. We stayed here one night and then hit the Camino de Santiago the next morning. It was a perfect night's sleep before the start of our pilgrimage!
