Yes, it is small, but it clean, never crowded, and TSA is quick. Everything is close together and easy to find. They have a few places to eat, at least one bar (I've seen two but only one is ever open when we go...) and plenty of snack/souvenirs. We have never checked a bag here so I can't speak for that process, but we always rent and return our car here which is super easy as well. Everyone is so polite and it so much less congested than other airports. The only thing I wish is that they had a direct flight from RDU but maybe one day! *fingers crossed* Seriously love this airport and will continue to come here as long as it's an option.

Partly it is because it is a smaller airport, I think. They have a limited selection, and you have to do a lot of work yourself because they don't have staff to assist you (check the car for damage, note mileage, note gas, check it in, etc). It's fine, as that's how it is a lot of the time in smaller airports. However, this place appears to have really high turnover. I had to wait for the couple in front of me...for 20 minutes...before they'd check me in. There were 2 people there, but I guess one was being trained. The "trainer" apparently had no interest in doing any work herself and was determined that the trainee do everything. Which is OK, if your goal is to sincerely help training, but not at the expense of customer service! Anyway, the trainee asked me all kinds of personal questions I had never been asked before. I can't remember what all I was asked, but at one point I just said I was not answering the personal questions anymore. I was asked how far I planned to drive, where I was going and for how long...I said I was going into OK. Anyway, the car they had reserved for me was tagged as "limited mileage restriction". The trainee asked the trainer if they really wanted to give me that car because of my distances, the trainer just shrugged and said "we have no choice". Wait...what? What does this mean? Is there something wrong with the car? what? Anyway, service was shoddy and shifty at best, the parking lot was nothing but a skating rink, so very difficult to get my luggage to the car, loaded, and then safely get the car out. HELLO! Ice your parking lot! It had been 2 days since the snow storm, you've had PLENTY of time to clean up your lot!
