Save your receipts, and check your car over carefully before you take it…read more Although the terms are not really found anywhere on the web site to describe what happens when you don't bring the car back totally full, what happens is that you get overcharged--sometimes even if you did bring it back full. This happened to us on our last rental here. Refilled the car, brought it back full, got charged for 4 liters of fuel + taxes + a refilling charge anyway, to the tune of about 25 euros. When we asked them about it they said "maybe it is a mistake" and that they would refund it if we could show proof of refilling. Only by chance we still had the receipt from the gas station, but we still had to make an extra trip to their not very nice rental location next to the not very nice train station. And at that, they were not able to refund the fees immediately, because we came on a Sunday, so we are still not sure whether or not we will actually see the refund. Although we reserved the car online, so they obviously have an email address, we never got an email about this charge. It all seems quite shady. A quick google search suggests that other folks have had similar issues, sometimes getting charged for pre-existing damage. Proceed with caution!

He said he would have the manager call me the next day. I refused to pick up the vehicle until he removed the charges, which he then did immediately. He still kept trying to sell me on the insurance even though I am fully insured already. He was clearly lying and trying to add charges without me noticing.

So this is quite bad. - First they don't open until 8:30am, It's the ONLY car rental not open!!! - 2nd unlike avis, you are only allowed ONE reservation update. We had a death in the family and have to coordinate between two cities and this is the worst experience to have right now. Avis allows THREE changes. - 3rd their return situation is absolutely ludicrous. There are no signs ANYWHERE about where to return. We used yelp, Google, in car POI gps AND the return location given to us by Sixt themselves and NONE of them directed us to where we needed to go. Save yourself 30 min and google the Parking St Roch and if you're looking for a sign at the entry, don't you worry , you're not crazy, you won't find one! - 4th their off hours instructions is this ridiculous small sign all in French in the floor level (thank God French is my native language), good luck to any non French people. You have to go back outside and find this ridiculous outside key return area that is not labeled unless you physically go in front of it. Wow just avoid this whole rental area.
